TL; DR
- Galaxy Z Flip 8 will reportedly use Exynos 2600 or Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, depending on the region.
- Qualcomm reportedly offered Samsung a competitive deal after Exynos 2600 proved expensive to produce.
- India’s chipset variant is unconfirmed at the moment, though we’re most likely to get the Exynos 2600 chip inside the Flip 8.
Samsung has been using different processors in the same phone for different markets for years. Take the Galaxy S26 series as an example. While the regular Galaxy S26 (review) and the Galaxy S26 Plus (review) featured the Exynos 2600 (2nm) chipset, the S26 Ultra (review) ran on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy, an overclocked version of the regular chip.
Turns out, the Galaxy Z Flip 8 will follow the same path. According to a Korean tipster Lanzuk (via Naver), the purported Flip 8 “will be equipped with both Exynos and Snapdragon processors,” depending on the region.

Galaxy Z Flip 8 Could Use Both Samsung And Snapdragon Chips
The blog post claims that Samsung originally planned to use the Exynos 2600 chip across the Flip 8 lineup in all regions. However, given that it is based on the 2nm fabrication technology, the chipsets are a bit expensive to produce.
Furthermore, Qualcomm has reportedly offered Samsung a more competitive and lucrative deal on Snapdragon chips (with the exact make and model of the chip unknown). As a result, the Flip 8 could debut with the split configuration, wherein Asian markets might get the Exynos version, while American markets could get the Snapdragon version.
For those catching up, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 (review) runs on the Exynos 2500 chip.

What’s In It For Indian Buyers?
Even if the Indian version of the Galaxy Z Flip 8 features the Exynos 2600, it will debut with a significant improvement in CPU and GPU performance, resulting in smoother multitasking, less app loading times, and better (and more sustained) gameplay.
Keep in mind that Samsung hasn’t confirmed any of these details; take them with a pinch of salt. What’s more certain is the company’s second Galaxy Unpacked event of the year, which will take place in July 2026, revealing the next-generation foldables, including the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold 8, and the Galaxy Z Flip 8.
