Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra Review: Refinement Over Revolution, But Still The Android Phone to Beat

#ExpertReview
By Smartprix1 year ago
Samsung began 2025 with a bang by introducing the Galaxy S25 series at a big bang unpacked event. The biggest attraction at Unpacked 2025 has been the Galaxy S25 Ultra. With this launch, one thing is once again confirmed: the days of hardware war are over trend, and software will be the next battlefield where consumer tech giants compete and try to bring the best for the consumers. Has the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra managed to do that? Let’s find that out in this review:
  • Powerful Performance
  • Lighter and refined Design
  • Stunning Display
  • Slower charging speeds
  • AI Processing Can Be Hit or Miss
  • Haptics not best-in-class

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra come with a charger in the box?

No, you'll only find a USB-C to USB-C cable in the box. To get the best speeds, you should pick up an original Samsung 45W travel adapter, as a standard brick won't charge this massive battery nearly as fast.

Is the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra camera better than the S24 Ultra?

The main 200MP sensor is more refined, but the real star is the new 50MP ultra-wide and improved telephoto lenses. Photos are noticeably sharper in low light, and the AI processing feels much more natural than last year's model.

How long does the battery last on the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra?

The 5000 mAh battery easily lasts a full day of heavy use, typically giving you around 7 to 8 hours of screen-on time. If you're just browsing and using social media, you can even push it into a second day without breaking a sweat.

Does the Indian variant of the S25 Ultra use Snapdragon or Exynos?

This time, everyone gets the good stuff! Samsung used the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset globally, so the Indian units are just as powerful and power-efficient as the ones sold in the US or Korea.

Are there any common display issues with the Galaxy S25 Ultra?

The 6.9-inch screen uses a new Corning Gorilla Armor that reduces reflections by up to 75%, which is great for Indian sunlight. Some early users noted minor graininess at very low brightness, but it's much less common than it was on previous generations.

How fast does the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra charge?

With a compatible 45W charger, you can go from 0% to 75% in about 30 minutes. A full charge takes roughly an hour, which is decent, though it still trails behind some Chinese competitors in raw charging speed.

Is the S Pen included with the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra?

Yes, the S Pen is still tucked right into the bottom of the phone. However, keep in mind that Samsung removed some Bluetooth gestures in recent updates, so it's mostly for writing, sketching, and precise clicking now.

Will I have to pay for Galaxy AI features in the future?

Samsung initially mentioned that some AI features might require a subscription after 2025. While most basic tools remain free for now, premium features like advanced video editing or real-time translation might move behind a paywall later this year.

Is the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra waterproof?

It has an IP68 rating, which means it can handle being submerged in up to 1.5 meters of fresh water for 30 minutes. It's perfect for surviving a sudden monsoon downpour or an accidental splash, but don't take it swimming in the ocean.

Samsung s25 ultra and s26ultra

I like the innovative and creative part of the phones but not the design. S22 ultra ,s24 ultra had better design that bar shaped. Samsung has to distinguish between flagship and Ordinary models.

A flop show

Samsung s series had beed gorgeous in design ( bar shaped) , but now the design looks ordinary like any other samsung phone. SAMSUNG S SERIES HAS TO BE DIFFERENT THAN ANY OTHER SERIES. IT SHOULD GO BACK TO S 22, 23 AND S 24 ULTRA DESIGN.

Mai tamam dosto se guzarish karta hoon ke Samsung mobile khareedne se pehle achi tarah soch lein. Ye phones aksar stuck ho jaate hain, phir RAM reball karni padti hai aur phir bhi theek nahi hote. Paisa aur time dono barbaad hota hai.

SAMSUNG MOBILE BUYERS BEWARE!!! Still Samsung research team is not capable to fix the green line issue for S22 and higher models. When I got the Display green line issue for S22 Ultra, Support team informed me till S20 models the research team confirmed the green line issue is due to software updates and they are capable to replace display only for the models till S20 in 2024 end. Instead of making Gimmick in some AI & UI features in latest models, the pathetic Research team should focus & fix the software issue which making green lines. otherwise you have to provide some life time display warranty for green line issues even the device is not under warranty. Literally worst experience with SAMSUNG Product. Should not buy Samsung mobiles if they are not providing life time warranty for display green line issue.
