TL; DR
- The Galaxy S27 Ultra is tipped to feature 1.28mm bezels, down from 1.32mm on the S26 Ultra, alongside a thicker 4.69mm camera bump.
- Samsung could replace the vertical rear camera arrangement with a wider rectangular camera island.
- The main camera is rumored to use a new 200MP ISOCELL HP6 sensor in the 1/1.3-inch class. The Galaxy S27 series is expected to launch in early 2027.
Samsung’s Galaxy S27 Ultra could get slightly thinner display bezels and a thicker camera module, according to new details shared by tipster Ice Universe. The leak puts the bezels at 1.28mm and the camera bump at 4.69mm, suggesting small but noticeable changes to the phone’s design.
Galaxy S27 Ultra could have thinner bezels
According to Ice Universe, the Galaxy S27 Ultra will have 1.28mm bezels, compared with 1.32mm on the Galaxy S26 Ultra. The 0.04mm reduction is minor, but it would bring the display slightly closer to the edges.

Samsung would still trail some Chinese flagships in this area. The Xiaomi 18 Pro Max and OPPO Find X10 Pro Max feature bezels measuring around 0.99mm and 1.15mm, respectively. The base Find X10 also features 0.99mm slim bezels.

Bigger camera bump and a redesigned rear layout
The camera module could see a more noticeable change. The Galaxy S27 Ultra is tipped to have a 4.69mm camera bump, up from roughly 4.5mm on the S26 Ultra. This is also thicker than earlier CAD-based figures that put the module at around 4.56mm.

Leaks suggest Samsung could replace the vertical camera arrangement used on recent Ultra models with a wider rectangular camera island that stretches across more of the rear panel.
The thicker module could be linked to a new ISOCELL HP6 main camera sensor. The sensor is rumored to remain in the 1/1.3-inch class, similar to the current 200MP unit, although changes to the lens assembly could require more space. Separate leaks have also pointed to a larger battery, around 5,534mAh rated.
Galaxy S27 Ultra launch timeline
Despite the thicker camera module, the Galaxy S27 Ultra’s overall body thickness is reportedly staying close to 7.9mm. One leak also puts its weight at around 218g, although Samsung has yet to confirm these figures.
The Galaxy S27 series is expected to arrive in the usual January or February launch window in early 2027.
