The Xiaomi 15 Ultra is shaping up to be a camera powerhouse, and recent leaks give a glimpse into its impressive hardware setup. Earlier, we shared exclusive renders of the device, giving you the first look at its uncanny design. We also shared a few of the key specs of the device.
Now, we have some additional information from the popular tipster, Digital Chat Station. According to him, Xiaomi is reportedly using a 50 MP main camera with an f/1.6 aperture and a 23 mm equivalent focal length, featuring a sensor even larger than last year’s 1-inch model.
While exact measurements are still under wraps, it’s rumored to surpass the 1-inch mark, which will result in improved low-light performance and a shallower depth of field. The device will retain the adjustable aperture from the previous models.
It’s also said to house a 200 MP periscope camera with 4.3x optical zoom and a 100 mm focal length, along with an f/2.6 aperture. According to DCS, the sensor—Samsung’s ISOCELL HP9—has a native size of 1/1.4 inches, but the cropping in zoom mode will yield a 1/1.5-inch effective image size.

This means we can expect about a 4.1x zoom, though Xiaomi may market it differently, as they did with the Xiaomi 14’s telephoto setup. DCS also suggests that the main sensor’s physical focal length is now larger than the previous 8.7x mm. Also, the periscope has an approximate physical focal length of 25.x mm.
The Xiaomi 15 Ultra is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. Also, it could be the only flagship this year to sport a 200 MP periscope alongside intermediate zoom options (possibly 2x or 3x).
For the rest of the specs, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra is expected to sport a 6.7” micro quad-curved LTPO display and an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner. It is said to pack a 6,000 mAh battery with 90W wired and 80W wireless charging support. What are your thoughts on the cameras of the Xiaomi 15 Ultra? Let us know in the comments section below.
