Xiaomi 14 series partnered with Leica received quite an acclaim for its cameras and seems like Xiaomi 15 series will mark the same feat. The Chinese smartphone maker is cooking up the Xiaomi 15 series comprising three models – Xiaomi 15, 15 Pro, and 15 Ultra, set to launch in the home country soon. However, we have some interesting details about its camera setup.
According to tipster Smart Pikachu on Weibo, the Xiaomi 15 series will bring onboard improved lenses, flash shooting, photosensitive macro shooting, and full-focal length master portrait. The upcoming series will have full-focal length cameras with large apertures on the primary driver that could allow more lights which translates to better details reception and picture quality.

The tipster highlights about ‘an inch’ possibly hinting towards a ‘1-inch sensor’ that will be exclusive to Xiaomi 15 Ultra. Last year, we saw the Xiaomi 14 Ultra released four months after the vanilla and Pro variant sporting an exclusive 1-inch sensor at the back and, likely, this year won’t be any different.
Apart from that, the tipster mentions ‘ceramics’ possibly hinting at a variant that will have a ceramic back panel. Of course, this will be more expensive than the glassback one.

We have been through a lot of leaks regarding the Xiaomi 15 series recently. One such claim states the existence of an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor on-board Xiaomi 15 Pro and Ultra. The series will be the first to pick up Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoC just like it did with SD8 Gen 3 last year.

Other specs that we have heard about include a 6.36-inch AMOLED 1.5K display on the vanilla variant while Pro will pick up a slightly larger 6.73-inch 2K quad-curved AMOLED panel. Battery setup includes a 100W fast on the standard variant while the Pro variant will pick a slightly higher one (14 Pro had 120W charging tech).
