October is shaping up to be a busy month for smartphone launches in India. The month starts with Xiaomi’s Redmi 17C 5G, followed by the OPPO F35 series and then vivo’s October 6 event.
vivo has officially confirmed the V80 and S2 FE for October 6 at 12 PM IST. Multiple reports also point to the X Fold 6 joining them after a global launch expected on October 1, although vivo has not confirmed the foldable for India yet.
There are also several China-first flagships waiting for their India launches. OPPO’s Find X10 series and vivo X500 series launched in China in September, while the OnePlus 16 is scheduled to launch in China on October 12. Most of these phones are expected to reach India later in October or in November.
Redmi 17C 5G

Xiaomi launched the Redmi 17C 5G in India on October 1. It starts at ₹20,999 for 4GB + 128GB, with the 6GB + 128GB variant at ₹22,999. First sale is on October 7 at 12 noon through Amazon, mi.com and Xiaomi retail stores.
The phone has a 6.9-inch HD+ LCD with adaptive 120Hz, a Dimensity 6300, a 50MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera. It packs a 6,000mAh battery with 33W charging. It also has IP64, Wet Touch, a side fingerprint sensor and a 3.5mm jack.
It runs HyperOS 3 on Android 16 and supports Circle to Search. Colours are Coffee Brew, Purple Dawn and Dark Night.
OPPO F35 and F35 Pro

The OPPO F35 series is expected to launch on October 5. OPPO has confirmed the series for the first week of October, while October 5 is the date currently being reported.
The F35 Pro is expected to feature a MediaTek Dimensity 7360 Max, a 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, and a 50MP main camera with OIS. It is also tipped to have an 8MP ultrawide camera and a 50MP ultrawide selfie camera with around a 100-degree field of view. Both the front and rear cameras are expected to support 4K video recording.
Battery capacity is currently reported at 8,000mAh, with 80W SuperVOOC charging. Some earlier leaks mentioned a 10,000mAh battery, so take that with a pinch of salt. The phone is also expected to have IP68/IP69 protection and Rainstorm Touch. Price estimates put it between ₹45,000 and ₹50,000.
The standard F35 is expected to use a Dimensity 6360, paired with a 6.57-inch 120Hz AMOLED display. It could feature a 50MP + 2MP rear camera setup and the same 50MP ultrawide selfie camera as the Pro.
The F35 is also tipped to have an 8,000mAh battery with 80W charging, with an expected price of ₹35,000 to ₹40,000.
vivo V80

The vivo V80 will launch in India on October 6 at 12 PM IST. vivo has officially confirmed the date. It has a 6.59-inch 1.5K OLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, up to 5,000 nits of local peak brightness, 1.25mm bezels, and a minimum brightness of 1 nit.
The camera setup includes a 50MP Sony LYT-700V main camera with OIS, a 50MP Sony IMX882 night telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom and OIS, an ultrawide camera, and a 50MP front camera.
The phone supports 4K 60fps video recording and 4K cinematic video. vivo is also adding ZEISS 85mm and 100mm portrait modes, along with features such as AI Diwali Portrait 2.0.
A 7,200mAh battery powers the phone, with 90W FlashCharge. vivo claims 50% charge in 30 minutes, up to 14 hours of navigation and 39.5 hours of local video playback. The V80 will be the first V-series phone in India to run OriginOS 7 based on Android 17. vivo is promising six years of security updates.
Listings point to the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset. The phone is expected in Sunrise Anthem, Horizon Blue and Stellar Black, with reports putting its price above ₹60,000. It will be sold through vivo’s website, Amazon, Flipkart and retail stores.
vivo S2 FE

The vivo S2 FE is also confirmed for October 6 at 12 PM and will be sold through Flipkart. vivo is positioning it around battery life, with the phone expected to pack a 10,000mAh silicon-carbon battery, 44W charging and reverse charging.
Other reported specifications include a 6.83-inch 1.5K 120Hz AMOLED display with around 2,000 nits HBM brightness, a Dimensity 7300e chipset, LPDDR4X RAM, UFS 3.1 storage and a 3,800mm² vapor chamber.
The rear camera setup is expected to include a 50MP Sony IMX852 main camera with OIS and a 2MP secondary camera, while the front camera could be 32MP.
The phone is also widely reported to have IP68 and IP69 ratings along with MIL-STD-810H certification. A leaked box price of ₹39,999 for the 6GB + 128GB variant is circulating, although the actual selling price is expected to be lower. The S2 FE is expected to come in flat green and black finishes, with a rounded-square dual-camera module on the back.
vivo X Fold 6

The vivo X Fold 6 could join the V80 and S2 FE at vivo’s October 6 event. vivo has not officially confirmed it for India yet, while tipsters are pointing to the same date following a global launch expected on October 1.
The foldable has already launched in China. It features an 8.02-inch 120Hz LTPO AMOLED inner display and a 6.51-inch 120Hz AMOLED cover display, with both panels reportedly reaching up to 5,000 nits.
The phone runs on the 3nm Dimensity 9500 Super and has a ZEISS-tuned camera setup with a 200MP Samsung HPB main camera with OIS, a 50MP ultrawide and a 50MP 3x periscope telephoto camera with OIS. Both displays have 20MP cameras for selfies and video calls. A 7,000mAh-equivalent silicon-carbon battery powers the foldable, with 80W wired and 40W wireless charging.
The unfolded phone measures 4.4mm thick, while the folded thickness is around 9.4mm. vivo rates the hinge for 600,000 folds, and the phone has IP58/IP59 protection.
India is tipped to get 12GB + 256GB and 12GB + 512GB variants in Prism Black and Nebula Teal, likely running OriginOS 7. Chinese pricing started at around ₹1.11 lakh after conversion, while the Indian price is expected to be higher after duties, at around 1.8 lakhs.
Infinix GT 50 Pro

Infinix has also teased the GT 50 Pro for India, although the company has not announced an Indian launch date yet. The phone has already gone on sale in Indonesia and Nepal. It features a 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, Gorilla Glass 7i and up to 4,500 nits peak brightness.
Current-market versions use the Dimensity 8400 Ultimate, paired with up to 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB UFS 4.1 storage. The gaming-focused phone uses HydroFlow liquid cooling and a large vapor chamber. It also has pressure-sensitive shoulder triggers and RGB lighting on the rear.
The cameras include a 50MP OIS main camera, an 8MP ultrawide and a 13MP front camera. Battery capacity is listed at 6,500mAh in most markets, although some regional listings mention 6,150mAh. Charging support includes 45W wired, 30W wireless, reverse charging and bypass charging, with support for Infinix’s cooler accessory.
The GT 50 Pro has an IP64 rating and runs Android 16 with XOS 16. Indonesia pricing converts to roughly ₹35,000 to ₹40,000, which gives an indication of where the Indian price could land if the phone launches this month.
Motorola Edge 70 Neo

Motorola has confirmed that the Edge 70 Neo is coming to India, but it has not locked an October date. The phone is expected during the month as a compact mid-ranger under the Edge 70, which is already on sale at ₹29,999.
The phone could feature a 6.3-inch 120Hz AMOLED, a Dimensity 7450, a 7,000mAh battery with around 68W charging, and a triple camera that includes a 50MP main sensor plus a telephoto.
OPPO Find X10 and Find X10 Pro Max

OPPO launched the Find X10 series in China on September 22, with sales from September 24. The lineup includes the Find X10, Find X10 Pro Max and a cheaper Find X10E. Global availability looks close to October 21, based on OPPO’s European pre-order terms, and India is tipped for late October.
The Pro Max runs the 2nm Dimensity 9600 Pro, with up to 16GB RAM and 1TB UFS 4.1 storage, on Android 17 with ColorOS 17. The display is a 6.78-inch 1.5K panel at 144Hz. Cameras are the headline: three 200MP sensors, covering a 24mm main with f/1.5 aperture, a 70mm 3X periscope, and a 13mm ultrawide.

Video goes up to 8K and 4K at 120fps, with Dolby Vision and LOG. The battery is an 8,000mAh silicon-carbon cell, plus 80W wired and 50W wireless charging. It has IP68/IP69 and an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. China pricing started at CNY 6,799 for 12GB + 256GB.
India pricing is expected to start above ₹90,000 for the base Find X10 and go well past ₹1.3 lakh for the Pro Max. The Find X10E is unlikely to come here.
vivo X500 series

vivo launched the X500, X500 Pro and X500 Pro Max in China on September 21. These are the first phones on MediaTek’s Dimensity 9600 family. India is expected in late October or early November.
The Pro Max uses the 2nm Dimensity 9600 Pro, up to 16GB RAM and 1TB storage, and OriginOS 7 on Android 17. The display is a 6.85-inch 2K LTPO AMOLED at 144Hz, quoted at up to 4,400 nits. The ZEISS camera setup pairs a 50MP Sony main sensor with OIS, a 200MP 85mm periscope with 3.5x optical zoom, and a 50MP ultrawide.
Video support includes 8K and 4K at up to 240fps. The battery is 8,000mAh, with 90W wired and 40W wireless charging. The phone is IP68/IP69 and has an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. Weight is about 225g.
Xiaomi 18 Pro

Xiaomi launched the 18 series in China in late September, and Xiaomi India has already acknowledged a global rollout. An India date is less settled. Some calendars still point to October. More recent timeline reports push the India launch to December. Only the 18 Pro would launch in India though.
OnePlus 16

OnePlus has confirmed the OnePlus 16 for China on October 12. An India launch of the same model currently looks unlikely, with several reports pointing to a OnePlus 16R for this market instead.
What OnePlus has confirmed is the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6, ColorOS 17, and a BOE display that runs at 165Hz system-wide and 185Hz in supported games. Leaks add a 6.78-inch 1.5K panel, a 9,000mAh battery with 100W wired and 50W wireless charging, and a camera stack built around a 200MP main sensor, a 50MP 3X periscope and a 50MP ultrawide.
iQOO 16

iQOO launched the iQOO 16 in China on September 29. India is possible during late October. A global launch has already been teased by iQOO on its official pages.
The phone is one of the first on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6, paired with iQOO’s own Q4 gaming chip. The display is a 6.85-inch Samsung M16 2K LTPO AMOLED at 165Hz, quoted at 10,000 nits local peak and 2,800 nits full-screen peak, with 3,300Hz PWM.
Cameras are triple 50MP: a 1/1.3-inch main with OIS, a 50MP ultrawide, and a 50MP 3x periscope with OIS, plus a 32MP front camera. The battery is 8,400mAh, with 100W wired and 40W wireless charging. It has IP68 and IP69, and runs OriginOS 7 on Android 17. China pricing starts at CNY 5,999, about ₹86,000 after conversion, for 12GB + 256GB. The price in India is expected to be around ₹1.2 lakhs.
