TL; DR
- The Hyundai Bayon’s HX2 variant costs ₹9.99 lakhs (ex-showroom).
- However, the HX3 variant (₹10.90 lakhs) provides more value for your money.
- If budget isn’t a limitation, I’d suggest a higher trim.
The 2026 Hyundai Bayon has now reached dealerships as they prepare for deliveries, but the top-end HX10 trim is mostly available everywhere. Showrooms have received a great response to the vehicle, based on feedback from three dealerships in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.
However, one question almost every salesperson at Hyundai dealerships is getting asked left, right, and center: which is the most value-for-money variant of the Hyundai Bayon? In this article, I have two recommendations for you. If you’re a potential buyer of the new 4.2-meter SUV, you can choose one of the two models based on your budget.

So, without further ado, let’s dive in.
2026 Hyundai Bayon: Most Affordable Value For Money Variant
There are two answers to this question, and it all comes down to your budget.
In case you don’t want one, the HX3 trim, second from the base, offers all the must-have and some good-to-have features, enough so you don’t have to visit a third-party retrofitment store right after rolling out the car from the showroom on the day of delivery.

VFM Bayon Variants On A Budget
| Variant | Increment | Ex-showroom price |
| HX2 | — | ₹9,99,900 (≈ ₹10 lakh) |
| HX3 | + ₹90,000 | ₹10,89,900 (≈ ₹10.90 lakh) |
Let me explain. The base HX2 trim already offers must-have features like all power windows, a tilt and telescopic steering wheel, LED projector headlamps with DRLs, a manual air conditioner with rear AC vents, fabric seat upholstery, and digital dials with a 4.2-inch TFT MID.

It also includes a strong basic safety kit, including six airbags, hill-start assist, electronic stability control (ESC), tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS), and 16-inch wheels with covers. However, due to the lack of an infotainment screen, something that you use for managing incoming calls, playing music tracks, and navigating, I don’t recommend this variant to buyers.
| Category | HX2 (Base) features | Features HX3 adds (over HX2) |
| Exterior / Lighting | LED projector headlamps, LED DRLs, LED tail lamps, rear spoiler, shark-fin antenna, 16-inch steel wheels with covers | — (same as HX2) |
| Interior | Dual-tone (black + olive grey) cabin, fabric seats, D-cut steering wheel, 4.2-inch color TFT instrument cluster | Dual integrated displays |
| Comfort & Convenience | Manual AC + rear AC vents, all-power windows, electrically adjustable ORVMs, tilt & telescopic steering, front + rear Type-C USB ports | Smart key with push-button start, steering-mounted controls |
| Infotainment | None (no factory touchscreen, speakers or Bluetooth) | 10.25-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay & Android Auto, 6 speakers, voice recognition, Bluetooth |
| Safety | 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, ESC, VSM, hill-start assist, TPMS, rear parking sensors, ISOFIX, day/night IRVM | Rear-view camera + Driver Rear View Monitor (DRVM) |

Instead, the HX3 trim sounds like the most complete value-for-money package for budget-conscious buyers. Over the HX2, the HX3 adds a 10.25-inch infotainment screen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, six speakers, rear-view camera, and steering-mounted controls, something that makes this the no-nonsense, complete base variant.
Bayon’s HX3 trim also adds keyless entry and push-button start-stop, which I see as more good-to-have features
| Variant | Increment | Ex-showroom price |
| HX3 | — | ₹10,89,900 (≈ ₹10.90 lakh) |
| HX3+ | + ₹90,000 | ₹11,79,900 (≈ ₹11.80 lakh) |

If you absolutely want a sunroof, you can get it with the HX3+ variant. Over the features mentioned in the HX3 trim, the plus only adds a sunroof, 17-inch styled steel wheels, and roof rails.
| Variant | Increment | Ex-showroom price |
| HX3+ | — | ₹11,79,900 (≈ ₹11.80 lakh) |
| HX5 | + ₹65,000 | ₹12,44,900 (≈ ₹12.45 lakh) |
VFM Bayon Variant With No Budget Constraints
If you’re looking at one of the higher trims but don’t want to waste money on the absolute top trim, the HX6 is the next-best value-for-money variant. The HX5 trim adds genuinely useful features like cruise control, a rear defogger, one-touch driver window up/down, a wireless phone charger, and connected car tech. It also includes automatic climate control.

| HX6 | + ₹1,12,000 | ₹13,56,900 (≈ ₹13.57 lakh) |
However, I recommend the HX6 over the HX5, as it is the more complete Bayon variant. It comes with a panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, rear wiper and washer, 17-inch alloy wheels, dual LED projector headlamps, and a boot lamp. This is the most complete value-for-money variant from the inside out.
