Xiaomi 15 vs. Find X8: Screen
Out of the box, the Xiaomi 15 comes with a 6.36-inch LTPO OLED screen that supports 3,200 nits of peak brightness, up to 120Hz of refresh rate (with 300Hz touch sampling rate), and a resolution of 460 ppi. The screen supports high dynamic range content, as it supports Dolby Vision and HDR10+ formats. Built on an aspect ratio 20:9, the screen is protected comparby shatterproof glass.
In comparison, the Oppo Find X8 has a slightly larger 6.59-inch AMOLED screen that can achieve 4,500 nits of peak brightness (with an APL of 1%), supports 120Hz refresh rate (up to 240Hz touch sampling rate), and has a resolution of 460 ppi. Like the Xiaomi 15, the Find X8 also supports formats like Dolby Vision and HDR10+.
Xiaomi 15 vs. Find X8: Performance
Xiaomi 15 Features Snapdragon 8 Elite Chipset
Under the hood, the Xiaomi 15 features Qualcomm’s latest and greatest smartphone chip, the Snapdragon 8 Elite. The chip features two prime Oryon X2 Phoenix L cores clocked at 4.32GHz, and six Oryon V2 Phoenix M performance cores clocked at 3.53GHz. Even though the processor features high-power cores, TSMC’s N3E fabrication technology ensures about 44% lower CPU power consumption than the previous generation Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC.
With the capable CPU, the Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC features the Adreno 830 GPU, which promises up to 40% faster graphics rendering and 35% improvement in ray tracing. The NPU on the device is 45% faster than that on the predecessor, which enables on-device AI features, including multimodal Gemini Nano.
Most recently, we got a chance to test the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset on the Realme GT 7 Pro. Even though its memory and storage configuration could differ from the Xiaomi 15, the processor scored about 2.73 million points in the AnTuTu 10 benchmark, which is lower than the leaked benchmark scores suggested but still a pretty solid score for an Android smartphone.

Oppo Find X8 Sports Dimensity 9400 SoC
On the other side of the fence, the Find X8 ships with the mighty Dimensity 9400 SoC. Mediatek’s latest flagship processor is also based on TSMC’s second-generation 3nm technology for 40% better power efficiency numbers than its predecessor. However, its cluster design differs from that of the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. First, the Dimensity 9400 has a 3.63GHz prime core, three 3.3GHz performance cores, and four 2.4GHz efficiency cores.
With the configuration, the processor offers 35% better single-core and 28% better multi-core performance. The CPU runs alongside the Immortalis G925 GPU, which offers 41% improved performance and 40% faster ray-tracing compared to the GPU on the Dimensity 9300 SoC. Thanks to its faster NPU, even the Dimensity 9400 SoC can run the multimodal Gemini Nano model on the device. In fact, it was the second chipset after Google’s Tensor to do so.
Snapdragon 8 Elite vs. Dimensity 9400: Real-World Benchmark Comparison
According to a recent report by GSMArena, the vivo X200 Pro, featuring the Dimensity 9400 SoC, scores around 2.9 million points on the AnTuTu 10 benchmark, which is slightly better than that of the Snapdragon 8 Elite on the GT 7 Pro.
However, when it comes to GeekBench 6, the Snapdragon 8 Elite takes it back with a higher single-core score (3,127 vs. 2,711) and multi-core score (9,509 vs. 8632). Given that the same processors power the Xiaomi 15 and Find X8, we could expect similar results from the smartphones.

Xiaomi 15 vs. Find X8: Connectivity
Both the latest-generation flagships support Wi-Fi 7 for faster wireless connectivity, Bluetooth v5.4 (with support for LE, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, and LHDC 5 codecs), GPS, NFC, and an IR Blaster.
However, the Xiaomi 15 ships with a USB 3.2 Type-C port, whereas the Find X8 has a USB 2.0 Type-C port. In theory, this should lead to a difference in the data transfer speed between the phone and the connected device, where USB 3.2 should do better.
Xiaomi 15 vs. Find X8: Battery Capacity And Charging Rate
The regular Xiaomi 15 features a 5,400 mAh battery, which supports 90W wired, 50W wireless, and 10W reverse wireless charging.
The Oppo Find X8 sports a larger 5,630 mAh battery that supports 80W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.
Xiaomi 15 vs. Find X8: Operating System
The Xiaomi 15 comes pre-installed with the HyperOS 2 update, which is based on Android 15. At the core of the new operating system is Xiaomi’s HyperCore technology, which drives improvements in all aspects, such as performance, networking, graphics, and safety. Other key features include an AI-powered dynamic lock screen, a fresh home screen layout, 3D real-time weather system updates, and seamless integration with other Xiaomi devices via the HyperConnect software.
The Find X8, on the other hand, ships with ColorOS 15.0, which is also based on Android 15. Some key highlights of the operating system include an iOS-style Control Center, Live Photos, lock screen customization features, and Dynamic Island-like notifications. While ColorOS 15.0 is similar to OriginOS 5, which is featured on the vivo X200, HyperOS 2 has a slightly different look and feel, differentiating the overall usage experience.

Xiaomi 15 vs. Find X8: Conclusion
With the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, the Xiaomi 15 could have the upper hand at peak performance, although the difference would be marginal, making it easy to ignore. Even so, the phone could appeal to users looking for a flagship experience on a compact device, as its screen size isn’t as large as what rivals offer.
Xiaomi could release the Xiaomi 15 and the Xiaomi 15 Pro in India by the end of November or the beginning of December. The phone starts from CNY 4,499 (about INR 53,000) for the base variant with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. However, Xiaomi’s global price markups could increase the cost in India.
The Find X8 provides a significantly bigger screen and a higher-capacity battery, which could be among the vital decision-making points for end consumers. In China, the base variant of the smartphone starts from CNY 4,199 (about INR 50,000). Recently, Oppo confirmed that the Find X8 will debut in global markets “soon.”
