Vivo X20 and X20 Plus with 18:9 Display and Dual-Cameras Launched: Specifications, Features and Price

Vivo introduced its two new smartphones Vivo X20 and X20 Plus at an event in China. Both these devices flaunt a full vision display with 18:9 screen aspect ratio. Vivo in these new devices also offering a new ‘face wake’ feature that uses facial recognition technology to unlock the phone. As per Vivo, the device reads 128 facial features (similar to Apple’s iPhone X Face ID feature) before unlocking the phone. (हिंदी में पढ़ें)

Vivo X20 and Vivo X20 Plus Features

What sets Vivo X20 and Vivo X20 Plus apart is the difference in the display and battery size. While the former boasts a 6.01-inch display with 3,245mAh battery, the ‘Plus’ variant comes with a 6.43-inch display and 3,905mAh battery. Vivo X20 and Vivo X20 Plus both sports an FHD+ (1,080X2,160 pixels) Super AMOLED display.

Talking about its design, the phone comes with ultra-thin bezels on the sides of 18:9 display. The phone boasts a metal design with dual-camera setup, fingerprint sensor, and Vivo branding.

Under the hood, both smartphones are powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 660 processor alongside 4GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage. They run on FuntouchOS 3.2 based Android Nougat software out-of-the-box.

For photography enthusiasts, both phones feature a dual rear camera setup which features 12MP+5MP sensors with optical image stabilization, f/1.8 aperture and LED flash. On the front, both of the flaunt a 12MP selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture and soft LED flash.

Vivo X20 and Vivo X20 Plus Price In India and Availability

The Vivo X20 and Vivo X20 Plus will sell in Black, Rose Gold, and Silver color option, and the company has priced them at CNY 2,998 for the base model and CNY 3,498 (roughly to 35,000 INR) for the higher model. At this time, both of these phones are only available in China.  It will interesting to see if Vivo decides to launch them in India or not. Vivo X20 and Vivo X20 Plus India price could be roughly around Rs. 30,000 and Rs. 35,000 respectively.
