POCO has launched the POCO X8 and POCO X8 Power in India. The new X-series smartphones bring large AMOLED displays, Snapdragon chipsets, high-capacity Silicon-Carbon batteries, fast charging and a rugged build. Both models also feature stereo speakers and Corning Gorilla Victus 2 protection. Let’s take a look at the pricing and specifications.
POCO X8 Specifications
The POCO X8 is powered by the Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 Mobile Platform, which is built on a 4nm process and reaches CPU speeds of up to 2.4GHz. It is available in three configurations: 6GB + 128GB, 8GB + 128GB, and 8GB + 256GB. The base storage variant uses UFS 2.2, while the 8GB + 256GB variant gets UFS 3.1.
The phone has a 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 2772 x 1280 resolution, up to a 120Hz refresh rate, 12-bit color depth and up to 3,500 nits peak brightness. The panel supports the DCI-P3 wide color gamut and TÜV Triple Eye Protection.
Audio is handled by stereo dual speakers with Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res Audio support. The POCO X8 also supports up to a 300% volume boost.
For photography, the POCO X8 has a 50MP primary camera with OIS, an f/1.8 aperture and a 5P lens, paired with a 2MP depth camera. The camera system supports Portrait Mode, HDR, Live Moments, Ultra HD Mode, Pro Mode and Dual Video. There is a 16MP front camera for selfies.
The phone packs a 9,000mAh Silicon-Carbon battery with the Xiaomi Surge G1 Battery Management Chip. It supports 67W Xiaomi HyperCharge and 22.5W wired reverse charging. A 67W charger is included in the box.
The POCO X8 has Corning Gorilla Victus 2 protection and carries IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K ratings. It also has Five-Star Quality Certification from SGS and TÜV.

POCO X8 Power Specifications
The POCO X8 Power brings the Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 to India for the first time. The chipset has CPU speeds of up to 2.6GHz. The phone comes in two configurations: 8GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB. The base variant uses UFS 2.2, while the top variant gets UFS 4.1 storage. The phone also uses LPDDR5X RAM.
The display is a 6.83-inch 1.5K flat AMOLED panel with a 2772 x 1280 resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, 12-bit color depth and up to 3,500 nits peak brightness. It supports DCI-P3 wide color gamut, TÜV Triple Eye Protection, HDR10+ and Dolby Vision.
The X8 Power also features stereo dual speakers with Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res Audio. It supports up to a 400% volume boost.
On the camera front, the phone has a 50MP primary camera with OIS, an f/1.5 aperture and a 6P lens. It is paired with an 8MP ultrawide camera. The camera system supports Auto Scene Detection and 2X in-sensor zoom. Both the rear camera and the 32MP front camera can record 4K video at 30fps.
The POCO X8 Power packs a 10,000mAh Silicon-Carbon battery with 100W Xiaomi HyperCharge. It supports 27W wired reverse charging, and a 100W charger comes in the box.

The POCO X8 is priced at ₹29,999, while the POCO X8 Power costs ₹35,999. POCO is offering a ₹2,000 coupon discount along with a ₹1,000 bank offer or exchange bonus, bringing the effective prices to ₹26,999 and ₹32,999, respectively.
Both smartphones will go on sale from September 11 at 12 noon exclusively via Flipkart.
