Redmi has launched the Note 17 Pro and Note 17 Pro Max in India, bringing large OLED displays, huge batteries and fast charging to the ₹40,000 to ₹50,000 segment. Both phones also get IP69K protection, optical fingerprint sensors and long-term software support.
The Pro Max goes further with a 10,000mAh battery, 100W charging and a larger main camera sensor, while the regular Pro gets a 9,000mAh battery and 67W charging. Here’s everything you need to know about the two phones.
Redmi Note 17 Pro Specifications
The Redmi Note 17 Pro runs on the Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 and comes with 8GB RAM. Storage options include 128GB and 256GB, with the 128GB variant using UFS 2.2 and the 256GB version getting UFS 3.1 storage.
The phone has a 6.83-inch 1.5K LTPS OLED display with a 2772 x 1280 resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. It reaches up to 3,500 nits peak brightness, with 2,000 nits available in High Brightness Mode.
The panel also supports 12-bit colour, DCI-P3 wide colour gamut, 3840Hz PWM dimming and up to 3,200Hz instantaneous touch sampling. Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protects the display.
At the back, there is a 50MP JNS main camera with an f/1.95 aperture and OIS, accompanied by an 8MP ultrawide camera. A 16MP front camera handles selfies and video calls. Redmi also uses its Surge G1 imaging chip to handle camera-related processing.
Power comes from a 9,000mAh Silicon-Carbon battery with 67W wired charging and 22.5W wired reverse charging. The 67W charger is included in the box.

The Note 17 Pro Max moves to the Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 and comes with up to 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB storage. The 8GB + 256GB variant is priced at ₹49,999, while the 12GB + 256GB version costs ₹55,999.
It shares the same 6.83-inch 1.5K LTPS OLED display as the Pro, including the 2772 x 1280 resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, 3,500 nits peak brightness, 2,000 nits HBM brightness, 12-bit colour, DCI-P3, 3840Hz PWM dimming, 3,200Hz instantaneous touch sampling and Gorilla Glass Victus 2.
The main camera gets a larger sensor. It is a 50MP Sony IMX882 1/1.95-inch sensor with an f/1.95 aperture and OIS, paired with an 8MP ultrawide camera. The front camera is a 32MP sensor. The Pro Max also gets the Surge P3 and G2 imaging chips for camera processing.
The biggest hardware upgrade is the battery. Redmi has fitted the Pro Max with a 10,000mAh Silicon-Carbon battery, supported by 100W wired charging and 27W wired reverse charging. The bundled charger is rated at 100W.
