Moto X4 India Launch Imminent; Sports Dual-Camera and Glass Body

Update (17 October 2017): Lenovo-owned Motorola has officially revealed the date of the Moto X4 India launch. The phone that was showcased at the IFA 2017 event will be announced here on November 13. The news came from company’s twitter post.

Lenovo-owned Motorola could treat the Indian audience with its new and upcoming device, called the Moto X4, anytime soon. The company hinted at an imminent Moto X4 India launch in a series of teasers on their twitter handle hash-tag “Xperience”.

The highlights of the Moto X4 are its dual-rear facing camera, metal and glass body design, and a combined Amazon’s Alexa and Google’s voice assistance feature (doubts on Alexa assistance coming to India, though).

Moto X4 Specification and Features

Before jotting down the specification, we would like to inform you that Moto X4 coming to India could be an Android One phone. The news was confirmed by a leak from a reputed tech source, last week.

Moving forward, the Moto X4, under its all-metal and glass body design, will be powered by Snapdragon 630 processor clocked at 2.2GHz, backed by 3GB of RAM and 32GB of onboard storage which you can expand to up to 2TB via microSD card.

For photography, the Moto X4 features a dual-camera at the back with one being a 12MP autofocus pixel sensor and the other an 8MP ultra-wide angle lens with 120° fields of view. The back cameras are backed by features like dual LED flash, Ultra-wide angle shot, Professional mode, and Slo-motion video support. Up front, it has a 16MP sensor with selfie flash, f/2.0 aperture, and Beautification mode.

Other features of the phone include a 5.2-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) LTPS IPS display, front-mounted fingerprint scanner, and a 3000mAh fast-charging battery.

In terms of connectivity, the Moxo X4 includes a 4G VoLTE support, 3 microphones, WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, USB port C, NFC, FM radio, and GPS.

Moto X4 Expected Price and Availability

Moto X4 that was first showcased at an event in Berlin, where it was presented Super Black and Sterling Blue color options. In India, it’s expected to cost around Rs. 30,000.

Motorola India has fixed October 3 date for the phone’s official launch.
