Moto G Max Launched In India With 7,000mAh Battery and Snapdragon 6s Gen 4

Motorola has launched the Moto G Max in India as a new addition to its G-series lineup. The phone focuses on battery capacity, while also bringing UFS 3.1 storage, LPDDR5X RAM, a 50MP Sony main camera, and a 120Hz display. Let’s take a look at the pricing and specifications.

Moto G Max Price and Availability

The Moto G Max is priced at ₹27,999 for the 6GB + 128GB variant, while the 8GB + 128GB model costs ₹29,999. The phone will be sold exclusively through Flipkart, with sales starting August 20. Buyers can get up to ₹1,000 off through eligible bank offers. It comes in three Pantone-curated colours: Stargazer, Alaskan Blue, and Malaga.

Moto G Max Specifications

The Moto G Max features a 6.72-inch FHD+ LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 1,050 nits HBM brightness. The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i and supports Water Touch 2.0.

The phone is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 chipset and comes with 6GB or 8GB of LPDDR5X RAM. Storage is limited to 128GB and uses UFS 3.1.

For cameras, the Moto G Max has a 50MP Sony LYT-600 primary sensor and an 8MP ultra-wide camera on the back. A 32MP camera is used on the front.

The phone packs a 7,000mAh silicon-carbon battery with 30W TurboPower wired charging. Motorola includes a 33W charger in the box and rates the battery for 1,000 charge cycles.

The Moto G Max runs Android 16 and gets two major Android OS upgrades along with three years of security updates. Other features include stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, a 3.5mm headphone jack, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, face unlock, ThinkShield for Mobile, Moto Secure, and Google Gemini.

For durability, the phone carries an IP64 rating and MIL-STD-810H certification.

Moto G Max vs. Moto G57 Power

The Moto G Max shares the Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 chipset and 50MP Sony LYT-600 primary camera with the Moto G57 Power. Motorola has upgraded the storage from UFS 2.2 to UFS 3.1 and moved from LPDDR4X RAM to LPDDR5X.

The battery remains at 7,000mAh, while the G Max adds Gorilla Glass 7i and MIL-STD-810H certification. Motorola has also given the phone a new Luxury Satin Finish with Pantone-curated colour options.
