Last year Vivo surprised the smartphone world with several groundbreaking design choices in its phones like the Vivo X20 Plus UD, the Vivo Apex, and Vivo Nex Dual Display. And just a week back, the peculiar design of a new Vivo smartphone emerged from nowhere on the internet.

Vivo has confirmed the launch of this phone named APEX 2019 on January 24 through its official Weibo account. However, the company is yet to reveal any information on the upcoming device’s specifications and features.

Vivo APEX 2019 Leaked

Some pictures of the upcoming phone code-named as “The Waterdrop” were shared by a tipster named Ice Universe via his twitter handle. He claimed the phone to have a crazy, never seen before design. He added that the novel design is inspired by the cosmic detector in the novel Three Body.

He shared a few images of the phone barely revealing any major detail with respect to design or specs. However, from what we could interpret, the edges blend into the other side to form a glossy glass form.

Vivo Apex of the yesteryear was launched as Vivo Nex in the month of June. So, maybe all we get to see in coming days will be a prototype rather than an actual phone meant for masses. Vivo could carry forward other interesting features from its past phones like under-display fingerprint sensor and a pop-up camera on this device.
