Vivo V5 Plus With Dual Selfie Cameras and Snapdragon 625 Launched At Rs. 27,980

The Chinese Smartphone maker, Vivo, launched its next selfie-centric phone – the Vivo V5 Plus at a media event today. The phone is priced at Rs. 27,980 and it goes on sale on from February 1.

In the recent times, Vivo has been building a camera-centric smartphone portfolio and the Vivo V5 Plus is part of that strategy. It packs a dual camera module up front which includes a 20-megapixel primary sensor and an 8-megapixel secondary sensor to sense the depth of field in selfies. The Selfie camera also comes with what Vivo calls a ‘Softlight’ flash.

Technically speaking, the Vivo V5 Plus comes with a 5.5-inch full HD IPS LED, 2.5D curved glass which is layered with Gorilla Glass 5. It employs a 2.0 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 chipset, which is the same chipset as the one used by Asus in Zenfone 3 and Xiaomi in Redmi Note 4.  It comes with 4gigs of RAM and 64GB of internal storage.

Talking of rear camera, the Vivo V5 Plus sports a 16-megapixel shooter with PDAF for whenever you need to shoot beyond selfies.

The phone runs on Funtouch OS 3.0 based on Android Marshmallow that offer features like eye-protection mode and Split Screen 2.0. It is fuelled by 3160mAh battery with fast charging. The dual SIM phone supports 4G VoLTE support, HiFi Audio, and a Fingerprint sensor.
