TL; DR
  • Vivo X Fold 6 is tipped to launch in India on October 6.
  • Two 12GB variants and Prism Black and Nebula Teal colors are reportedly planned.
  • The China model offers a Dimensity 9500 Super chip and a 7,000mAh battery.

If the tipsters are right, Indian foldable fans won’t wait much longer. The Vivo X Fold 6, on sale in China since June, is reportedly heading here on October 6 at 12 noon (that’s quite specific if you ask me), just five days after a global debut on October 1. Nothing is official, so treat the date as a strong lead, not a promise.

Vivo X Fold 6: Pricing & Availability

Tipster Abhishek Yadav says India gets two configurations in two colors, which is a real shift. Last July’s X Fold 5 arrived as a single 16GB + 512GB Titanium Grey model, a take-it-or-leave-it approach.

However, there’s no word on the Indian pricing (yet). For a rough anchor, China’s launch price was CNY 7,999 (about Rs 1.05 lakh), though local pricing will likely differ. Software may too: China runs OriginOS 6 Fold, while global units are tipped to ship with OriginOS 7.

Vivo X Fold 6: What to expect?

Everything below comes from the China model; I’m only considering it as a baseline for the Indian model and not a spec-by-spec sheet. The inner screen is an 8.02-inch AMOLED, with a 6.51-inch panel outside, both at 120Hz. A Dimensity 9500 Super powers it, backed by a Zeiss-tuned camera system led by a 200MP main sensor. The 7,000mAh battery sits inside a body only 4.40mm thin when unfolded.

I’d watch the RAM more than the chip. China’s ceiling is 16GB, yet this leak tops out at 12GB, so India may get a slightly trimmed deal.
