TL; DR
- Vivo launched the S2 FE, V80, and X Fold 6 in India starting at ₹38,999.
- V80 and X Fold 6 sell from October 13; the S2 FE follows on October 20.
- S2 FE packs a 10,000mAh battery; V80 adds 7,200mAh; X Fold 6 carries 6,900mAh.
At its NEXT 2026 event, Vivo India announced three phones, and none of them is playing from a position of weakness. One is built around a battery equivalent to most power banks, another around a telephoto lens for joyful close-ups during the festival season, and the last around a folding screen and a price you’d look twice at.

Three Price Brackets, And Offers With Short Fuses
Vivo India’s release notes put the S2 FE at ₹38,999, the V80 at ₹62,999 and the X Fold 6 at ₹2,19,999. While these are the starting prices for the first two models, the foldable is only available in one configuration. All the handsets will be available from the company’s official website, Flipkart, Amazon, and other partner stores.

Vivo S2 FE: Ten Thousand Milliamp-Hours Doing Most Of The Talking
The one number I remember from the Vivo S2 FE’s entire launch is its 10,000 mAh battery (though the fine print mentions it as 9,800 mAh). This makes it the fifth phone in India to reach the mark after the Realme P4 Power, POCO X8 Power, and Redmi Note 17 Pro Max.

Vivo is also flaunting a Guiness World Record for the streaming time of the S2 FE’s global version. Good bragging rights, I’d say, though battery endurance differs based on your exact usage, network conditions, ambient temperature, and several other factors. Anyways, Vivo’s lab figures claim up to 30 hours of binge-watching and 68 hours of talk time.
Beyond its battery capacity, the S2 FE is more sensible than spectacular. It features a 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED panel that runs at 120Hz and climbs to 2,000 nits in high-brightness mode, and a Dimensity 7300e that handles processing (an entry-level mid-range chipset). The phone also carries dual IP ratings: IP68 and IP69, plus MIL-STD-810H compliance.

Vivo V80: A Creator Phone Whose Price Needs A Second Look
The V80 is Vivo’s pitch to people who shoot more than they scroll or game. The pitch centers on a 50MP (OIS) ZEISS telephoto camera that delivers 3x optical zoom. Five portrait focal lengths from 23mm to 100mm and 4K video at 60fps back it up. You also get three built-in looks: Modern Movie, Vibrant, and Pastel.

Vivo’s AI Diwali Portrait 2.0, which adds diyas and rangoli to portraits, works only from October 10 to November 20, 2026, something to keep in mind. The 7,200mAh battery is the biggest yet on a V-series phone and charges at 90W. Then there’s the 6.59-inch OLED screen with a 144Hz refresh rate and 5,000 nits of local peak brightness. A Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 powers the device.
Out of the box, it runs on OriginOS 7. Vivo also promises up to six years of security updates with the device, something that makes it a no-brainer for long-term buyers.

Vivo X Fold 6: A Foldable That Wants To Argue With Samsung
On paper, I rate the X Fold 6 as the showstopper, but on the ground, a ₹2,19,999 asking price demands more answers. Vivo’s reply is an 8.02-inch main screen and a 6.51-inch cover screen, both adaptive from 1 to 120Hz, a capable 200MP ZEISS main camera, and a ZEISS APO telephoto camera built around Sony’s LYTIA 602 sensor.

Beyond the screens and cameras, the phone features a Dimensity 9500 Super Edition, which, while not MediaTek’s latest chipset, is still quite capable. The battery is a 6,900 mAh typical cell, bigger than the 6,000 mAh cell in the Motorola Razr Fold. It supports 80W wired and 40W wireless charging.
OriginOS 7’s Workbench keeps one main app and up to four helpers open together, and a split mode resizes up to four windows side by side. Vivo says these tools need 12GB of RAM or more, which this phone has. Buyers also get priority walk-in access to try the Vision Discovery Edition mixed reality headset.
