Matte Black Vivo V5 Plus IPL Edition Launched – 20MP dual Selfie Camera, 4GB RAM

Smartphone maker Vivo to celebrated its association with world’s most popular cricketing league with the launch of Matte Black IPL edition of Vivo V5 Plus (review) at an event in Hyderabad on April 4.The IPL Edition of Vivo’s dual selfie camera phone features innards similar to the phone which was launched in January 2017 but looks awesome in black color.

The phone will have an IPL theme pre-installed and will be available starting from 10th April 2017. Tha’s when Vivo intends to share the price as well.

The main highlight of the phone continues to be the dual front-facing camera setup which has Sony’s IMX376 1/2.78-inch 20-megapixel and 8-megapixel sensors with Moonlight Glow flash. With this dual cameras, the phone manages to snap selfies with shallow depth of field or with bokeh effect.

Vivo has also added a decent 16-megapixel rear camera with LED flash phase detection auto-focus (PDAF) and f/2.0 aperture. The default camera app also has a couple of trick up it sleeves with features like Face Beauty, Panorama, HDR, Night, Ultra HD, Professional mode and a lot more.

The Vivo V5 Plus matte black IPL Edition sports a 5.5-inch Full HD IPS display with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The phone enthralls on the back of 1.8GHz Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 chipset mated to Adreno 506 GPU and 4GB of RAM. For this IPL edition, Vivo has added 64GB internal storage which isn’t expandable.

Vivo V5 Plus packs a 3160 mAh battery which supports fast charging. The phone still runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow based FunTouch OS, The phone’s connectivity options include Dual SIM, 4G with VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.1, Wifi-802.11 b/g/n and few more.
