The first renders of the Pixel 11a have surfaced, giving us an early look at Google’s next A-series phone. The renders come from serial leaker OnLeaks and were published by Android Headlines.
There isn’t much of a design change from what we can see. The Pixel 11a has a flat rear panel and the same general camera layout as the Pixel 10a. The bezels around the display also look fairly thick, and they may actually be a little thicker than the 10a.
There’s a small accent ring around the camera module, which gives the rear camera area a slightly different look, but the overall design remains familiar.
That’s particularly interesting because the Pixel 10a was already very close to the Pixel 9a. There were barely any changes between those two phones apart from the colours, so it will be interesting to see what Google actually changes with the Pixel 11a.
Colour Options
The leaked renders show the Pixel 11a in a dark purple shade that could be called Frost. Other expected colours include Obsidian black, Fog silver, and a green shade that has been reported as Olive or Pistachio.
The Pixel 10a came in Obsidian, Fog, Berry, and Lavender. Google could therefore replace the pinker Berry and Lavender options with the new purple and green finishes.
Tensor G6 Could Be the Biggest Change
The more interesting part of the leak is the chipset. The Pixel 11a is tipped to use Google’s Tensor G6, the same chip expected to power the Pixel 11 series.
Google has taken a different approach with the last two A-series phones. The Pixel 9a launched with an older-generation Tensor chip than the Pixel 9 series, while the Pixel 10a continued with the Tensor G4, which had already appeared in the Pixel 9 series.
If the Tensor G6 report is accurate, the Pixel 11a would be the first A-series Pixel in three generations to use the same Tensor generation as the flagship Pixel lineup.
Display and Other Specifications
The Pixel 11a is expected to feature a 6.3-inch FHD display with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 3,350 nits of peak brightness. That would be a small increase over the Pixel 10a’s 3,000-nit peak brightness.
The front camera is also reportedly getting changes aimed at improving selfies and video calls, although there are no concrete details about the sensor yet.
The rear camera setup could continue with a 48MP main camera and 13MP ultrawide, similar to the Pixel 10a, but it hasn’t been confirmed whether Google will carry over the same cameras.
Battery capacity is expected to fall somewhere between 4,870mAh and 5,100mAh, keeping it in roughly the same range as the Pixel 10a.
Pixel 11a Launch
Google is expected to launch the Pixel 11a in early 2027. The phone is still several months away, so these specifications and colours could change before Google makes it official.
