We already got a pretty good look at the Galaxy S27 Ultra after Ice Universe shared a mockup, followed by CAD renders via Android Headlines. Now the standard Galaxy S27 has appeared in CAD renders too, and Samsung clearly wasn’t in the mood for another redesign. The phone looks almost exactly like the Galaxy S26, which itself kept the design introduced with the S25.
Design
The Galaxy S27 keeps Samsung’s vertical triple-camera layout on the back. The overall shape is familiar too, with almost no change in size. The leaked dimensions are around 149.75 x 71.88 x 7.25mm, compared with 149.6 x 71.7 x 7.2mm on the S26.
The 6.3-inch display is also expected to stay. Samsung has kept this screen size on its smallest Galaxy S flagship for several generations now, so there isn’t much reason to expect a change here.
The bigger design changes are being reserved for the top end. The S27 Ultra is reportedly getting a redesigned camera section and could be split into two models, the Ultra and Pro. That would give Samsung more room to separate the two phones on size and hardware.
Exynos Could Go Global
Samsung could also change how it handles the chipset this time. The Galaxy S26 uses the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy in the US and some other markets, while the Exynos 2600 is used elsewhere. Early reports suggest the Exynos 2700 is performing well enough against Qualcomm’s next-generation chip that Samsung is considering using Exynos across all regions.
The base model is also expected to stick with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. With memory prices still high, a bigger base configuration seems unlikely.

Cameras Could Stay the Same
The camera setup is expected to carry over almost completely from the S26. That means the main camera, 3x telephoto, ultrawide, and selfie camera could all return with the same hardware. That’s the same hardware for 6 years in a row now.
Bigger Battery
Samsung is reportedly preparing to use silicon-carbon batteries in the Galaxy S27 series, with the standard S27 reaching around 4,900 mAh. That would be roughly 14% more capacity than the S26. The S27 Ultra could go even higher, with a rumored 5,700 mAh battery.
Price and Launch Timeline
The Galaxy S27 is currently expected around February 22, 2027, although Samsung has yet to confirm anything. Price could be another concern. The Galaxy S26 already went from $799 to $899 in the US, marking the first increase since the Galaxy S21. Memory costs remain high across the industry, so another increase would hardly be surprising.
