Upcoming Smartphone Launches In India (July 2026): Table of Contents

While there might not be as many smartphone launches in July 2026, the ones that are scheduled or expected to arrive aren’t worth ignoring. First, we have two entrants in the Reno 16 series, two premium mid-range devices.

Then the Nothing Phone (4b) will arrive with the company’s signature design with relatively cut-down specifications (courtesy of the ongoing memory crisis). Finally, we’re also expecting Samsung to release its latest foldables in a Galaxy Unpacked event on July 22, 2026. So, without any further ado, let’s get started with the list of upcoming smartphones in India (July 2026).

Oppo Reno 16

The Reno 16 marks a deliberate pivot from OPPO’s recent mid-range strategy. This particular smartphone will come with a 6.32-inch screen, making it genuinely one-hand-friendly. Its form factor, combined with a 200MP primary sensor, a 3.5x periscope telephoto, and a full-width 50MP ultrawide, makes it the most camera-ambitious Reno yet.

Oppo Reno 16c

  • Launch Date: July 2, 2026 | Amazon India, Flipkart, and Oppo India

  • Chipset: Dimensity 7300 (rumored)
  • Expected India price: ₹49,999 for the base variant
Oppo Reno 16 Pro

The Reno 16C’s most intriguing specification is the 50MP periscope telephoto, a camera feature usually reserved for phones priced above ₹60,000. However, the step-down from the regular Reno 16 would be the chipset and the display’s brightness, though the phone has a bigger screen.

Nothing Phone (4b)

  • Launch Date: July 7, 2026 | Flipkart and Nothing India
Tech Specs
  • Chipset: Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 (confirmed via Geekbench); Adreno 810 GPU
  • RAM: 8GB LPDDR4X; 128GB and 256GB storage variants expected

  • Design: Transparent back; compact Glyph Bar with five LED panels; flat plastic frame; mode-switch button on side; power and volume on opposite rail
  • Software: Android 16; NothingOS
  • Expected Price: ₹27,000–30,000 (₹3,000–5,000 below Nothing Phone 4a)
phone 4b

Nothing’s decision to cancel the CMF Phone 3 Pro and launch the Phone (4b) instead, as a new B-series product, sounds more like a strategic shift than a coincidence. Due to the memory crunch, the phone might be a little more expensive than we’re used to seeing on Snapdragon 6 Gen 4-powered phones.

Upcoming Smartphone Launches In India (July 2026): Rumored Models

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8

  • Expected Launch Date: July 22, 2026 | All major retailers
Rumored Specs
  • Form factor: Wide design (new form factor for the series)
  • Inner Display: 7.6-inch foldable AMOLED; nearly crease-free panel (showcased at Samsung Display’s CES 2026 exhibit)
  • Cover Display: 5.4-inch
  • Chipset: Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 (global)
  • RAM/Storage: Up to 16GB LPDDR5X; 256GB / 512GB / 1TB variants
  • Cameras: 200MP primary + 50MP ultrawide + 10MP telephoto (3x optical); 10MP cover camera
  • Battery: 5,000mAh (up from 4,300mAh on Z Fold 7); 45W fast charging
  • Chassis: Likely carbon fiber-reinforced plastic (CFRP); titanium from Z Fold 7 may be dropped
  • Expected India price: ~₹1,74,999 (base 12GB/256GB)

The Galaxy Z Fold 8 isn’t the direct successor to the Fold 7. Instead, it’s rumored to feature the wider form factor that addresses the persistent complaint that book-style foldables feel too narrow when unfolded. It could also come with near crease-free technology. Out of all the specifications, the battery life and the primary camera’s resolution sound impressive.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra

  • Expected Launch Date: July 22, 2026 | All major retailers
Rumored Specs
  • Form Factor: Tall book-style foldable (the true Z Fold 7 successor in terms of proportions)
  • Inner Display: ~8-inch foldable AMOLED; 6.5-inch cover display
  • Chipset: Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5
  • RAM/Storage: 16GB RAM; up to 1TB storage
  • Cameras: Flagship-tier triple camera system; exact sensors TBA
  • Expected Price: ₹2,16,999+ (starting; likely the most expensive Samsung phone of 2026)

Recent leaks suggest Samsung has renamed the direct successor to the Galaxy Z Fold 7 as Fold 8 Ultra. While the regular Z Fold 8 will offer the wide-screen form factor, this one sticks to the familiar, tall-body form factor we’re used to seeing on Samsung foldables. And yes, the memory crunch might directly impact the smartphone’s price; it could be more expensive than the Fold 7 was at launch.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 8

  • Expected Launch Date: July 22, 2026 | All major retailers
Rumored Specs
  • Inner display: 6.9-inch AMOLED, 120Hz
  • Cover display: 4.1 inches
  • Chipset: Exynos 2600
  • Cameras: 50MP primary + 12MP ultrawide rear; 10MP front camera
  • Battery: 4,300mAh + 25W fast charging
  • Expected India price: ~₹1,09,999–1,19,999
Z Flip7

The Galaxy Z Flip 8 won’t reinvent the clamshell foldable formula. It will only refine it. It could run on the Exynos 2600 chip from the Galaxy S26 series. If we ignore the limitations of a clamshell form factor, the Exynos chip did pretty well in my Galaxy S26 review, aside from occasional heating and thermal throttling.

Motorola Razr 70

  • Expected Launch: July (TBA)
Rumored Specs
  • Inner Display: 6.9-inch pOLED
  • Cover Display: 3.63-inch
  • Chipset: MediaTek Dimensity 7450X
  • Cameras: Dual 50MP rear
  • Battery: 4,800mAh + 33W fast charging
  • Expected India Price: ₹60,000
Moto Razr 60 Ultra Review with Pros and Cons - Smartprix.com-

The Razr 70 is already official in the United States, and the company could launch it in India soon. The baseline model with 256GB of storage costs $800 abroad, and that’s the point. With a mid-range chipset and average cameras, how well this one does depends on how well the company prices it in the country. To be successful, the flip-style foldable must cost between ₹60,000 and ₹70,000.

Motorola Razr 70 Ultra

  • Expected Launch: July (TBA)
Rumored Specs
  • Inner Display: 7-inch pOLED, 165Hz
  • Cover Display: 4-inch
  • Chipset: Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite
  • RAM/Storage: 16GB RAM + 512GB storage
  • Battery: 5,000 mAh
  • New: Kira AI assistant (shared with Edge 70 Max)
  • Expected India Price: ~₹1,00,00-1,20,000
Moto Razr 60 Ultra

Motorola didn’t upgrade the Razr 70 Ultra’s specifications globally, and that’s a big letdown, given that the company revised the flip-phone’s price anyway. The success of the Razr 70 Ultra, like the regular Razr 70, also depends on its pricing. It’s carrying the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, so performance shouldn’t be an issue, and neither should battery life.

Motorola Edge 70 Max

  • Expected Launch: July (TBA)
Rumored Specs
  • Chipset: Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5
  • Display: AMOLED (size and resolution TBA)
  • New: ‘Kira’ AI assistant, Motorola’s proprietary on-device AI feature

Although we don’t know many details about the Motorola Edge 70 Max, the phone could be based on the flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. Further, it could also feature Motorola’s Kira AI assistant.
