TL; DR
  • Official-looking cases for the Galaxy Z Fold8 (Wide), Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, and Galaxy Z Flip8 have surfaced online ahead of launch.
  • Samsung appears to be preparing silicone, clear, and aramid fiber cases for its upcoming foldables.

Samsung’s next-generation foldables are expected to debut at the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event, and a new leak has now revealed what buyers can expect in terms of official accessories. According to images shared by Android Headlines, Samsung is preparing a wide range of first-party cases for the Galaxy Z Fold8 (wide), the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, and the Galaxy Z Flip8.

Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra to Get Aramid Fiber Cases

The leaked images suggest that Samsung will continue offering its usual mix of silicone and clear protective cases for the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra. However, the company is also said to be introducing new aramid fiber options.

Interestingly, the aramid cases will come in multiple colors, including black, red, and blue. The cases also appear to feature an integrated kickstand, allowing users to prop up the device for media consumption or hands-free use.

Several silicone cases have also surfaced, and they seem to include a circular magnetic ring on the back.

Galaxy Z Fold8: Wider Fold, Similar Accessories

The leaked accessories for the Galaxy Z Fold8 (wide) largely mirror those of the Fold8 Ultra, although they have been redesigned to fit the wider form factor.

Samsung seems to be planning to offer the same trio of aramid fiber finishes, while the silicone options appear to feature a slightly different color palette.

The transparent cases are also getting some customization. The leak suggests Samsung could offer designer editions featuring artwork from brands and artists such as Esther Kim, Joker, and Kakao Corp.

Galaxy Z Flip8 Gets Familiar Case Options

The Galaxy Z Flip8 appears to be receiving silicone and clear cases, although aramid fiber options don’t seem to be part of the lineup, at least based on the current leak.

Samsung’s signature ring cases are making a return as well. Similar to previous generations, the silicone cases include a ring attachment that can be used for improved grip or for attaching the phone to bags and accessories.

Like the Fold series cases, the Flip8 accessories also appear to support magnetic wireless charging through an integrated magnetic ring.

Launch Expected Next Month

Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy Z Fold8, Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, and Galaxy Z Flip8 at its next Galaxy Unpacked event, which is rumored to take place in late July. While these leaked accessories offer an early look at Samsung’s plans, additional case options from both Samsung and third-party accessory makers are likely to arrive closer to launch.
