Amazon launches Echo Auto In India: Price, Features and Availability

Alexa powered Echo device range in India has been expanded with the launch of Echo Auto smart speaker in India. A year and a half after introducing the Echo Auto globally, Amazon has introduced this automotive centric device in India for a price of Rs. 4999.

What is Amazon’s Echo Auto?

Echo Auto is a smart device that adds Alexa’s assistance to your car. It is a small device, reminiscent of Echo Input, that measures 3.3 x 1.9 x 0.5 inches in dimensions and connects to your car’s stereo system via 3.5 mm auxiliary cable. Or you may use Bluetooth as a connectivity option. Echo Auto can draw power from the car’s 12-volt multipurpose socket or standard USB port.

To use it one has to connect it with Alexa app on your Android or iOS phone. As for the internet, It consumes data plan from your phone’s cellular network to stream music or to access Alexa skills.

Amazon Echo Auto Price and Availability

The Amazon Echo Auto India price at launch is set at Rs. 4,999. Users can pre-order the Echo Auto from Amazon where it is scheduled to go on sale starting January 15, 2020.
