TL; DR
- Vivo launches X500 Pro and Pro Max in Europe, and X500 in Malaysia.
- The Pro Max starts at €1,599 (about ₹1.69 lakh) and features a 200MP periscope.
- India launch is reportedly expected by the end of November.
Vivo has unveiled the X500 series globally. The X500 Pro and the X500 Pro Max are now available in Europe, while the standard X500 is available in Malaysia. All three use ZEISS cameras, large semi-solid-state batteries, and OriginOS 7. The new X500 Pro Max also brings a 200MP periscope telephoto lens.
India reportedly gets them by the end of November. That makes studying the global prices all the more important, and that is exactly why we are here today.

Vivo X500 Series: Global Cost & Availability
The baseline Vivo X500 starts from MYR 4,699 (about ₹1.09 lakh) in Malaysia. In Europe, the X500 Pro costs €1,399 (about ₹1.48 lakh), while the Pro Max runs from €1,599 (about ₹1.69 lakh) to €2,199 (about ₹2.33 lakh).
Both markets offer pre-order deals until November 30, 2026, including a free camera grip with the Pro Max and Headphone Studio with the Pro.

Interestingly, the Vivo X500 Pro Max in 1TB storage is exclusive to Vivo’s European online store. Meanwhile, the 16GB plus 1TB version stays China-only at the moment. The Indian market might get the baseline X500 and the X500 Pro in two storage models, while the X500 Pro Max could only arrive in one configuration.

What Changes Between The X500, X500 Pro And X500 Pro Max?
As the naming already suggests, the X500 Pro Max is the camera flagship. It features a 200MP ZEISS APO periscope camera (85mm equivalent) with a 1/1.4-inch sensor and 3-degree gimbal-grade stabilization. Meanwhile, an optional ZEISS extender stretches reach to 400mm equivalent.
The Pro keeps an 85mm-equivalent Sony LYTIA 610 periscope for zooming in on farther objects, while the baseline X500 gets a 72mm-equivalent telephoto. For video, Vivo takes the segmentation between the non-Pro and Pro models seriously.

The X500 Pro and Pro Max get X-Track Engine lock-on tracking, plus the ability to record native 4K video up to 240fps. Buyers will also get a 2.4:1 film format with simulated grain. Under the hood, both the Pro versions feature the 2nm Dimensity 9600 Pro (2nm). In contrast, the X500 gets the 9600M (similar to the Find X10 I reviewed recently).
Batteries vary by model and region because of global regulatory differences. The Pro Max gets 7,800 mAh (6,750 mAh in Europe), the Pro gets 6,510 mAh, and the baseline X500 gets 7,500 mAh. All the smartphones support 90W wired and 40W wireless charging.
OriginOS 7 also adds AirDrop-compatible sharing through Quick Share, plus Mac support through a vivo Office Kit.

I’m excited about the camera hardware, but I’m not convinced the Pro Max’s megapixel count alone justifies an upgrade, since last year’s X300 Pro reportedly already had a 200MP telephoto.
