Xiaomi Redmi Y2 Spotted On Geekbench Ahead of June 7 Launch

Xiaomi is set to release its selfie-centric phone on June 7 in New Delhi, India. For long, it is speculated that the upcoming will be the redmi Y2 a successor to Xiaomi’s first selfie centric phone in India. Just days before the Redmi Y2 official launch the phone has now surfaced on Geekbench, thus confirming its name and revealing benchmark scores.

Xiaomi Redmi Y2 Benchmark Scores and Features

The Geekbench results of the Xiaomi Redmi Y2 almost clear out the confusion of what will be the name of the upcoming Xiaomi phone. As per results published on the Geekbench site, the Redmi Y2 manages to score a decent 843 points in the single-core test, and 4196 points in the multi-core test.

Not much has been revealed about the Redmi Y2 specifications from the listing. It only showed the device equipped with a 2.02Ghz processor, 3GB of RAM, and running on Android 8.1.0 Oreo out-of-the-box.

The Redmi Y2 features are expected to be same as the Redmi S2, launched in China earlier this month. The phone is supposed to be powered by Snapdragon 625, paired with up to 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage space, and sport a 5.99-inch full vision display on the front.

For photography, the Redmi Y2 will feature a 16-megapixel sensor with soft LED flash and AI beauty for selfies and a dual 12MP+5MP sensor on the rear. The phone is said to house a 3080mAh battery.

Xiaomi Redmi Y2 Price and Availability

Most probably, Xiaomi price the Redmi Y2 price in India will be under Rs 10,000 and will be seen as the competitor to recently launched Realme 1. The phone could be available for sale in Rose gold, Champagne Gold, and Platinum Silver color options.
