TL; DR
  • Xiaomi has officially confirmed the Xiaomi 17T will launch in India on June 4, 2026, bringing the T-series back after nearly four years.
  • The phone is expected to feature a 6.59-inch 1.5K 120Hz AMOLED display, Dimensity 8500 Ultra chipset, Leica cameras, and a 6500mAh battery.
  • A Xiaomi 17T Pro model is also rumored for the global market, though Xiaomi India has only confirmed the standard Xiaomi 17T so far.

Xiaomi India has officially confirmed the launch date for the Xiaomi 17T in India. The phone is launching on June 4, 2026, marking the return of the T-series lineup to the Indian market after a long gap since the Xiaomi 11T series.

The company has already started teasing the device online, and based on the Chinese variant along with official teasers, we already have a fairly clear idea of what to expect from the phone.

Display and Performance

The Xiaomi 17T is expected to feature a 6.59-inch AMOLED display with a 1268 x 2756 resolution and roughly 460 ppi pixel density. The panel supports a 120Hz refresh rate along with 3840Hz PWM dimming, Dolby Vision, HDR10+, and Gorilla Glass 7i protection.

Powering the device will likely be the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Ultra chipset built on a 4nm process. The processor includes one Cortex-A725 core clocked at 3.4 GHz, three Cortex-A725 cores at 3.2 GHz, and four efficiency cores running at 2.2 GHz alongside the Mali-G720 MC8 GPU.

The phone is expected to launch with 8/12GB RAM and either 256GB or 512GB UFS 4.1 storage. Android 16 with HyperOS 3 should come pre-installed out of the box.

Leica Cameras and 5X Periscope Zoom

One of the biggest highlights of the Xiaomi 17T is expected to be its Leica-tuned triple camera setup.

The primary camera could use a 50MP 1/1.55-inch sensor with OIS and an f/1.7 aperture. Xiaomi is also expected to include a 50MP periscope telephoto camera with 5X optical zoom, OIS, 115mm focal length, and close focusing capability of just 10cm.

The third camera is rumored to be a 12MP ultrawide sensor with a 120-degree field of view and 15mm focal length. On the front, the device may feature a 32MP selfie camera capable of recording 4K video.

Battery, Charging, and Other Features

The Xiaomi 17T is expected to pack a 6500mAh silicon-carbon battery with support for 67W wired fast charging. There will be no wireless charging support.

Other expected features include stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 6.0, NFC, IR blaster, USB Type-C, and an in-display fingerprint scanner.

The phone is also expected to carry an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.

India Launch Details

The Xiaomi 17T officially launches in India on June 4, 2026. Xiaomi has not revealed pricing yet, though the phone is expected to sit in the mid-premium segment, at around ₹50,000.

A Xiaomi 17T Pro model is also rumored to launch globally around the same time or shortly after, though Xiaomi India has only confirmed the standard Xiaomi 17T for now.
