Logitech just launched the MX Keypad in India. It’s the company’s first customizable AI control center. With this, Logitech is taking on OpenAI’s Codex Micro, which landed in July as a dedicated keyboard for Codex.
Logitech wants a piece of the growing market for physical controls built for AI workflows. The MX Keypad isn’t a full keyboard. It’s a compact, programmable pad with nine LCD keys and two navigation buttons. You set it next to your main keyboard, and it adapts to whatever AI tool you’re using.

You’ll find it on the Logitech India online store. It only comes in Graphite. Logitech hasn’t announced the sale date yet.

What does the MX Keypad do?
The MX Keypad gives you nine customizable LCD keys and two navigation buttons at the bottom. You set up the keys for your AI workflow with the Logi Options+ app, available on Logitech’s website.
The LCD keys change depending on which AI tool you use. Logitech built the keypad for developers and used recycled plastics in the design.

It works with Windows 10 or later and macOS 13 or later.
The keypad measures 91.7 by 77.9 by 25.5 millimeters and weighs about 96 grams.
The stand is 112.7 by 58.5 by 20.5 millimeters and weighs about 61 grams.
Why it matters
OpenAI’s Codex Micro is the main rival. Logitech stands out because it supports a wide range of developer, creative, and productivity apps, not just one company’s AI. If you switch between Copilot, Claude Code, Slack, Figma, and Premiere Pro, a pad that updates its labels as you work makes sense. At Rs. 15,999, this is a premium accessory, not an impulse buy. And with no sale date yet, you can’t order one right now.
Logitech’s MX Keypad is a smart pick if you rely on AI-heavy workflows. But the price will turn off most casual users.
