Google’s Fitbit Air has finally made its way to India after a long wait. The screenless fitness tracker first launched in the US on May 26, and several months later, Google has confirmed its India availability.
The Fitbit Air will go on sale in India from October 2 for ₹13,999. It’s a small tracker that sits inside a swappable band and sends its health and fitness data to your phone instead of putting a screen on your wrist.
Fitbit Air Price and Availability in India
The Fitbit Air is priced at ₹13,999 in India and will be available from October 2 through the Google Store, Flipkart, Croma, Reliance Digital, Vijay Sales, and other retail partners. It comes in four colours: Obsidian, Berry, Lavender, and Fog.
Google is also including a three-month trial of Google Health Premium with every purchase. This gives users access to Google Health Coach from the start. There is no mandatory subscription to use the Fitbit Air.
At launch, buyers can get ₹1,000 cashback on eligible HDFC Bank and ICICI Bank cards. The offer applies to full-swipe transactions, or buyers can combine the ₹1,000 cashback with a six-month No Cost EMI option. Google is also offering No Cost EMI for up to 12 months on consumer loans.
What Is the Fitbit Air?
The Fitbit Air is Google’s smallest Fitbit tracker yet. It weighs 12 grams and has no display or notifications. Instead, it records your health and fitness data and sends it to the Google Health app on your phone.
It works with both Android and iOS and uses a small pebble that sits inside a removable band, so you can swap the band depending on how you want to wear it.
Health Tracking
The Fitbit Air tracks 24/7 heart rate, resting heart rate, HRV, AFib alerts, SpO2, sleep stages and sleep duration. It can also automatically detect common activities and send a workout recap to the Google Health app.
You can start workouts manually as well, while automatic activity detection learns your routines over time.
Google Health Coach
The tracker works with Google Health Coach, which uses the collected health data to give personalized guidance. You can follow guided workouts, log activities automatically, or take a photo of gym equipment or a circuit routine on a whiteboard to record your workout. Google also supports Gemini through Google Health Coach as an optional subscription.
Battery and Bands
Google rates the Fitbit Air for up to seven days of battery life, while a five-minute charge can provide up to a full day of use.
The tracker supports interchangeable bands, including the Performance Loop, which comes in the box and uses recycled materials, the sweatproof Active Band for workouts, and the Elevated Modern Band for everyday wear.
The Fitbit Air goes on sale in India on October 2 for ₹13,999.
