Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite with 19:9 display and Android 8.1 Oreo spotted on certification website

Xiaomi is close to launching a new phone, allegedly dubbed as the Mi A2 Lite. The name was confirmed by Singapore’s Communications Authority where the handset got certified with the model number M1805D1SG. Interestingly, the model number is same as the one spotted on FCC and prior to that on TENAA as Xiaomi M1805D1SC, M1805D1SE, and M1805D1ST.

The Mi A2 Lite should not be presumed as the rebranded version of Mi 6X for the global market. The specifications are nothing in line, but it keeps the Mi A2 launch buzz alive.

Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite Features and Price (Expected)

The leaked images of the Mi A2 Lite reveal that the phone sports an iPhone X-like notch display, and a design similar to the Redmi Note 5 Pro. On the rear, the Mi A2 Lite feature a dual-rear camera setup – vertically-aligned, and a fingerprint sensor.

According to various leaks and rumors, the Mi A2 Lite will feature a 5.84-inch Full HD+ display with 19:9 aspect ratio and 2.5D Glass on top. The handset is expected to rock 2Ghz octa-core processor, under the hood, paired with 2GB/3GB/4GB of RAM and 16GB/32GB/64GB inbuilt storage.

The Mi A2 Lite will flaunt a 12MP primary sensor on the back with LED flash and 5-megapixel front camera shooter. The phone runs on Android Oreo-based MIUI OS out-of-the-box and houses a 4000mAh battery.

As per the various listings of Mi A2 Lite, the handset measures 149.33×71.68×8.75mm and weighs 178g. The connectivity options on the same include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5, and GPS + GLONASS.

There is no information on Mi A2 Lite price as of now. However, the phone is expected to come in Black, Rose Gold, Gold, White, Blue, Red, Pink, Gray and Silver color options.
