Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ Get Dual VoLTE and 18 New AR Emojis In India

Samsung has started rolling out a new update to its Galaxy S9 and S9+ users that will activate the dual-SIM and dual-VoLTE support on their phones and adds new AR Emojis pack for some bonus fun. At the time of launch, the Galaxy S9 variants had VoLTE support on SIM slot 1 and it supported only 18 Emojis, which has now doubled up to 36.

Meanwhile, Samsung is also offering a one-time screen replacement for the S9 and S9+ users at a meager amount of Rs. 1,999. The offer is valid for 9-months, provided you opt for the services between June 1-June 30.

Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ Dual-VoLTE Feature

The Exynos 9810 chipset powering the two phones has dual-VoLTE support, the new software update will just enable it.

To active the dual-VoLTE feature on Galaxy S9/S9+, update the phones with the latest over the air (OTA) update. Once it is done, customers can choose to be connected to two VoLTE networks simultaneously, and can further choose the data network that most suits their needs.

New AR Emojis on Galaxy S9 and S9+

AR Emojis are Galaxy S9 and S9+ exclusive. They allow users to inject emotion into messages in a way that words simply can’t.

Now, Samsung has added 18 new emojis (pushing the total count to 36) that are automatically generated whenever an AR Emoji is created. The smartphones’ camera app update is now available in the ‘My apps’ section of the Galaxy Apps store.
