Xiaomi Redmi Y2 To Retail Exclusively On Amazon India

Amazon India to be the retail partner of Xiaomi for its forthcoming device, the Redmi Y2, in the country. The phone is scheduled to launch on June 7 and is touted as the selfie-centric phone by Xiaomi.

The source code everywhere on Amazon lists Redmi Y2 as Redmi E6, but don’t get confused, the Redmi S2, Y2, and E6 all refer to the same phone.

All hardware is same as that of Redmi S2 which went official in China last month.

Xiaomi Redmi Y2 Features

To recall, the Redmi Y2 will sport a 5.99-inch full vision 18:9 display and 2Ghz octa-core Snapdragon 625, paired with up to 4GB of RAM and up to 64GB storage space. The handset will run on Android 8.1 Oreo-based MIUI 9 out-of-the-box and house a 3080mAh battery.

For photography, the Redmi Y2 will feature dual 12MP+5MP sensors on the back with LED flashlight, f/2.2aperture lens, and EIS. Its 16-megapixel sensor, up front, too have LED flash (soft) and is backed by AI beauty feature.

Other specifications of Redmi Y2 include Dual-SIM slot, 4G VoLTE support, WiFi, Bluetooth, 5, micro USB 2.0, fingerprint sensor, IR blaster, and a dedicated headphone jack.

Xiaomi Redmi Y2 Price and Availability

There is no information over the Redmi Y2 India price as of now. It is expected to cost anywhere around Rs 10,000. The phone could be available for sale in Rose gold, Champagne Gold, and Platinum Silver color options.
