vivo has officially launched the T5 Lite 5G in India, adding another device to the increasingly crowded sub-₹25,000 segment. The company is pushing battery life and AI as the main selling point here, and that’s understandable because there isn’t much else on the spec sheet anyway.

The T5 Lite arrives with a 6,500mAh battery, IP65 protection, and the Dimensity 6300 chipset, which is rapidly becoming the default processor for phones that manufacturers want to call “budget 5G” in 2026.

Pricing and Availability

The vivo T5 Lite 5G starts at ₹19,999 for the 4GB + 128GB base model, ₹21,999 for the 6GB + 128GB model, while the 6GB + 256GB variant costs ₹24,999. vivo is offering a ₹1,500 launch discount, bringing the effective starting price down to ₹18,499.

Sales begin on July 22 through Flipkart, the vivo India website, and offline retail stores.

vivo T5 Lite Specifications

The vivo T5 Lite 5G features a 6.74-inch HD+ LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 1,200 nits of high brightness mode brightness.

Powering the phone is MediaTek’s Dimensity 6300 processor paired with 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM and either 128GB or 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage. Storage expansion of up to 2TB is also supported through a microSD card.

On the rear, vivo includes a 50MP primary camera using either Sony’s IMX852 sensor at 1/2.93 inches, alongside a 0.08MP secondary sensor that mostly exists so the camera island doesn’t look empty. Selfies are handled by a 5MP front camera.

The device packs a decently-sized 6,500 mAh battery with support for 44W FlashCharge. Other specifications include Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.4, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, IP65 dust and water resistance, and Android 16 with OriginOS 6 on top.

The phone measures 8.39mm thick, weighs 209 grams, and comes in Wave Blue and Twilight Shadow color options.

The T5 Lite ships with OriginOS 6 based on Android 16 and includes vivo’s standard AI suite, including AI Creation, AI Captions, AI Transcript Assist, AI Documents, and Private Space.
