Vivo V9 Blue-Colored 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia Limited Edition Launched

Vivo, the official smartphone sponsor of 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia, has announced a new Blue color variant of its flagship phone, Vivo V9 (review) in China. The limited edition phone will commemorate Vivo’s sponsorship to the FIFA World Cup, and Vivo will immortalise it at the Home of FIFA in Zurich, Switzerland.

“This will be the first-ever limited edition smartphone to join a prestigious collection of significant artefacts and memorabilia, which chronicle the growth of football into a global culture,” said the company.

Vivo V9 Blue 2018 FIFA World Cup Edition Features

Talking about the special edition Vivo V9 specification, it is the same as the normal edition that was launched last month. To recall, it came with 6.3-inch FHD+ 19:9 display, Snapdragon 626 octa-core processor, 4GB of RAM, 64GB internal storage, 3260mAh battery, and Android Oreo-based Funtouch OS 4.0.

For photography, it boasts a 24-megapixel sensor with AI beauty and dual 16MP + 5MP rear camera setup with f/2.0 aperture lens, dual-tone LED flash and 4k video recording.

As for the price and availability of Vivo V9 Blue 2018 FIFA World Cup Edition, there is no confirmation yet.

From the sets of Vivo V9 special blue color variant launched, Vivo also announced a “My Time, My FIFA World Cup” campaign. The thematic campaign calls upon people to be more than just the audience in the upcoming FIFA world cup. It will include:

  • Vivo Super Fan Photographers: With this, Vivo will recruit football fans, consumers and special guests who are passionate about photography to participate in 2018, 2022 FIFA World Cup, and document extraordinary moments through unprecedented close-up access.
  • Vivo Super Time: It is a musical extravaganza where will be a series of unique music-themed activities throughout the tournament, including the Vivo Super DJ show at all 64 matches, to unite football fans and music lovers around the world.
