iQOO CEO Nipun Marya has confirmed that the iQOO 16 is coming to India at India Mobile Congress 2026. The phone launched in China on September 29, and its specifications and Chinese pricing are already available.
iQOO 16 Specifications
The iQOO 16 runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chipset, a 2nm processor with a peak clock speed of 5.01GHz. It also includes iQOO’s dedicated Q4 gaming chip.
The phone has a 6.85-inch Samsung M16 AMOLED display with a 2K resolution of 1,440 x 3,168 pixels. It supports a 165Hz refresh rate, 5,000Hz touch sampling, and up to 2,800 nits of HBM.
The rear camera setup includes three 50MP sensors. The main camera uses a 1/1.3-inch sensor with an f/1.68 aperture and OIS. It sits alongside a 50MP ultrawide camera with an f/2.05 aperture and a 50MP 3X periscope telephoto camera. For selfies, there is a 32MP front camera.
The iQOO 16 packs an 8,400mAh battery with 100W wired charging and 40W wireless charging. It also has IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance. The Chinese model runs OriginOS 7 based on Android 17.
iQOO 16 China Price and Expected India Price
In China, the iQOO 16 starts at CNY 5,999 (around ₹86,000) for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant. The 12GB + 512GB model costs CNY 6,799 (around ₹97,000), while the 16GB + 512GB variant is priced at CNY 7,499 (around ₹1.07 lakh). The top-end 16GB + 1TB model costs CNY 8,499 (around ₹1.21 lakh).
The phone is available in Chasing the Light, Legend, and Racing Track colour options in China.
Tipster Yogesh Brar expects the iQOO 16 to start below ₹1 lakh in India. Other reports point to a launch in December 2026 or early 2027, although iQOO has not confirmed the timeline. For comparison, the iQOO 15 launched in India at ₹85,999.
