Vivo Launches the V40 and V40 Pro with ZEISS Imaging; Check Specs and Price

Vivo has finally unveiled its next generation of upper-midrange smartphones, the Vivo V40 series. This lineup includes the Vivo V40 and the V40 Pro, both with impressive ZEISS imaging. Each device features all 50 MP lenses with ZEISS, with the main highlight being the enhanced Portrait Mode. Let’s dive into the price, availability, and specifications of these devices.

Vivo V40 Series Price and Availability 

The Vivo V40 comes in three colorways—Lotus Purple, Ganges Blue, and Titanium Grey. The Vivo V40 Pro comes in two colorways—Ganges Blue and Titanium Grey. Both devices will be available via Flipkart, Vivo.com, and other retail stores. The pricing is as follows:

Vivo V40

  • 8/128 GB: ₹34,999
  • 8/256 GB: ₹36,999
  • 12/512 GB: ₹41,999

Vivo is offering a bank offer of 10% on all models bringing down the price to ₹31,499, ₹33,299, and ₹37,799, for the 8/128 GB, 8/256 GB, and 12/512 GB variants, respectively. 

There’s also free 6 months accidental and liquid damage protection. The Vivo V40 will be available starting August 13.

Vivo V40 Pro

  • 8/256 GB: ₹59,999
  • 12/512 GB: ₹55,999

Vivo is offering a bank offer of 10% on all models bringing down the price to ₹44,999 and ₹50,399 for the 8/256 GB, and 12/512 GB variants, respectively. 

There’s also free 6 months accidental and liquid damage protection. The Vivo V40 Pro will be available starting August 19.

Vivo V40 Specifications

The Vivo V40 comes with a 6.78” FHD+ 3D curved AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120 Hz and a peak brightness of 4,500 Nits. Under the hood, the Vivo V40 comes equipped with the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset, which is a 4 nm chipset. 

For RAM, you get up to 12 GB, though the LPDDR version is unknown. Storage options range from 128 GB to 512 GB with UFS 2.2. The Vivo V40 series runs on FuntouchOS 14, which is based on Android 14, and it comes with IP68 dust and water resistancewater and dust resistance. 

On the front, the Vivo V40 comes with a 50 MP 1/2.76” f/2.0 lens with a field of view of 92±3°. Additionally, the device includes a smart aura light on the back. For the battery, you get a 5,500 mAh cell with support for 80W fast charging.

Connectivity options include dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.4, and a USB Type-C 2.0 port, though there is no NFC support. The device features an in-display fingerprint sensor. In the box, you’ll get a Type-C to USB-A cable, an 80W power adapter, a SIM ejector tool, and a phone case.

Vivo V40 Pro Specifications 

The Vivo V40 Pro boasts a stunning 6.78” 3D curved AMOLED display with a resolution of 1260 x 2800, a peak brightness of 4,500 Nits and refresh rate of 120 Hz. It’s powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ chipset built on a 4 nm process, paired with up to 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage.

For the cameras, the Vivo V40 Pro features a 50 MP Sony IMX921 sensor with a 1/1.56” size and f/1.9 aperture. The setup also includes a 50 MP IMX816 2x telephoto lens (1/2.51”, f/1.9) and a 50 MP ultra-wide lens (1/2.76”, f/2.0) with a 119° field of view, all enhanced by ZEISS imaging

Connectivity options include dual-band Wi-Fi 5G, Bluetooth 5.4, and a USB Type-C 2.0 port. The device features an in-display fingerprint sensor and also has stereo speakers. In the box, you’ll get a Type-C to USB-A cable, an 80W power adapter, a SIM ejector tool, and a phone case.
