After months of rumors and reports, Samsung has finally confirmed the Galaxy Unpacked launch event’s date. At the event, the company is expected to reveal the Galaxy S24 series, which consists of three smartphones: the Galaxy S24, the Galaxy S24 Plus, and the Galaxy S24 Ultra.
Galaxy Unpacked Launch Event Date Confirmed
Samsung will host the Galaxy Unpacked event on January 17, 2023, at 11:30 PM IST, per the global launch time. The launch event will be available to watch on Samsung’s official YouTube channel for those tuning in from around the world. The event will be held at the SAP Center in San Jose, California.
Usually, Samsung launches the Galaxy S series phones in February. It did so with the Galaxy S23 series in 2023 and the Galaxy S22 series in 2022. However, this year, the company has preponed the launch as it expects to sell more units than before. The S24 is the first smartphone lineup from Samsung to feature AI-integration in its core software experience.
What Will The Company Launch At The Galaxy Unpacked?
Although the company hasn’t confirmed the devices it will announce at the event, we know it will reveal the Galaxy S24 series, including all the celebrated models. Whether there will be other products at the event isn’t known. However, the company should showcase the upcoming software update to bring all the AI-based features to the S24 lineup, i.e., One UI 6.1.

This model will ship with 12GB of RAM on the base variant and up to 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage. While the S24 Plus shares its cameras with the regular model, it will feature a larger 4,900 mAh battery that supports 45W wired charging.
