Chinese microblogging site Weibo has thrown up a concept render of the successor to Samsung’s ill-fated Note 7 smartphone, with the newest offering by the South Korean company now expected to throng storefronts in the latter half of the year.

The device was featured on Weibo in a post made by a user going by the handle, 超级Phone狂, the Note 8 will come having an additional responsibility of making up for the Note 7 debacle on it its shoulders, apart from the usual sales-boosting aim.

However, with the kind of reception its S8 and S8+ handsets are receiving, it is safe to say that the company is already halfway on the comeback bid.

Coming to the post once again, it indicates that the Note 8 will be out sporting a 6.4-inch OLED display with QHD+ display, and will be propelled by the very latest Snapdragon 835 processor.

Furthermore, the post says that the phone will have a RAM-ROM combination of 6GB and 128GB respectively and also feature iris recognition, wireless charge support as well as fingerprint recognition.

The post in question was accompanied by a picture of the purported smartphone, which add a dedicated SD card slot and USB Type-C portability to the list of the tentative features of the device.
