Samsung Galaxy Note 7

New Samsung flagship Galaxy Note 7 is all set to reach Indian smartphone stores. This awaited flagship is expected to arrive in India by August 11th. The 5.7-inch Quad HD Super AMOLED (2560 x 1440 p) screen with a promising dual curved edge design is expected to be of top-notch quality (it is the same panel that we loved on the Galaxy S7 Edge). Also, the Galaxy series legacy of ‘Always On’ screen feature is not left out in the Galaxy Note 7. Like Galaxy S7 edge, the handset includes water and dust resistance (IP68 rating) feature with 3D glass metal design. Samsung showcased its new symmetrical design which isn’t all that different from the existing S series flagships. Of course, the Note series signature S-Pen would make a notable difference. The handset is powered by Snapdragon 820 or Exynos 8 octa 8890 processor (market based) that pushes Android 6.0(marshmallow) on the handset. The Galaxy Note 7 features a 12MP rear camera, with OIS, LED flash and a 5MP front camera. With the dual pixel technology which employs phase detection photodiode in each pixel, the Samsung Galaxy S7 is presumed to lock focus in no time. It also supports HDR video recording. In addition to fingerprint scanner and other basic unlocking features, the Galaxy Note 7 is the first Samsung flagship to offer IRIS scanner! The 3500 mAh battery is a tad smaller compared to the one housed in Galaxy S7 Edge, but Samsung claims better battery backup with software optimizations. The Galaxy Note 7 with its unchanged connectivity options (3G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, A-GPS, GLONASS, BDS) comes in both single SIM and dual SIM variants. Samsung, never being an underdog, is expected to offer the new Note 7 at a premium price of 53,999 INR in India.
