Oppo has had quite a success with its Realme sub-brand for affordable online phones, and it will soon launch a new Reno sub-brand back home in China (Kind of analogous to Vivo’s IQOO). This morning, Oppo’s Vice President Shen Yiren made the announcement via Oppo’s official handle on Chinese Social Media website Weibo.

From this introduction, we learn that a new smartphone is slated to launch on April 10. We also get a glimpse of the vibrant Reno Logo and catch a youthful vibe. Reno could showcase a novel design and powerful performance to meet the 2019 standards.

Not surprisingly, the specs of first Reno phone showed up on Weibo.

Oppo Reno Specs (Expected)

The new smartphone is expected to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset. This would be coupled with 8GB of RAM and 128GB/256GB of onboard storage. The processing might deliver a smooth gaming experience. And you would have to less worry about battery life, thanks to 4065mAh battery.

The camera department could integrate Oppo’s 10x optical zoom technology, which was staged at MWC 2019. On the software front, it would have Color OS version 6. The leaks also hint to a USB-C port alongside a 3.5mm headphone jack, both of which are always welcome.
