The ill-fated Galaxy Note 7

Samsung is calling this concoction as the ‘Galaxy Note Fan Edition’ (FE), and it will be first see a native release, with a global outing possibly in the offing a while later. The phone has been planned to be up for grabs starting July 7, and will be a ‘limited-edition’ kind of outing by the company, which has decided to sell a fixed number (4,00,000) in South Korea.

Meanwhile, the company has left the point of the Note FE’s global release up until later and will be selling the refurbished edition for 699,000 won (around Rs. 39,400). The Note 7’s actual asking price was around Rs. 64,000.

The Note 7 recall created quite a stir, and was also one of the biggest blunders in the technological world. The company has trudged back on the right path safely since then (courtesy the Galaxy S8 duo), and with the Note FE, it intends to keep going that way.

However, it appears highly unlikely that the device will turn up in India, since there are enforced laws present that do not allow the sale of refurbished items in the country.

As for updates regarding the refurbished Samsung Galaxy Note FE, keep watching this space.
