FASTag is an electronic toll collection device that automatically debits toll charges from your linked bank account or wallets like Amazon and Paytm whenever you cross a toll plaza in India. FASTag is collected through stickers pasted on the vehicle’s windshield and these stickers have made the collection of tolls easy and breezy.

Recently, RBI banned Paytm Payments Bank from operating after 28 February 2024. Now, the latest update is that Paytm has been removed from the FASTag providers list. While RBI has extended the deadline for Paytm Payments Bank from February 29 to March 15, it has been clarified that FASTag is not interchangeable.

Customers are advised to close their FASTag accounts by Paytm Payments Bank and apply for a refund. A new FASTag will have to be bought from another bank.

NHAI has revealed the list of 32 banks that are now the FASTag providers in the country. Indian Highways Management Company advises users to buy FASTag exclusively from banks in this list-
