If you are a Paytm FASTag user, you will have to take action quickly. As per RBI’s directives, Paytm Payments Bank Ltd (PPBL) can no longer allow business transactions including FASTag to its customers post-March 15th (the latest deadline). As the closure of PPBL will affect many of its services, FASTag users will have to make due arrangements to ensure convenient traveling through various toll booths in India. Let’s check out how you can deactivate your Paytm FASTag account, port it to other banks, or buy a new Fastag.

For those who might want to know why you should deactivate your existing Paytm FASTag, it is because of the One Vehicle, One FASTag initiative. You cannot have two FASTags registered to the same vehicle or use one FASTag with two vehicles.

As Paytm FASTag will cease to operate post-March 15, it becomes imperative to exhaust the balance available and get yourself a new FASTag to continue traveling without any inconvenience.
