TL; DR
  • Google has launched its experimental Dreambeans app in India for users aged 18 and above.
  • The app generates 10–14 personalized, illustrated stories daily using data from connected Google services.
  • It is available on Android and iOS and supports 14 languages, including Hindi and other Indian languages.

Google has launched Dreambeans in India, its first market outside the US. The experimental Google Labs app generates personalized daily stories using data from services users choose to connect, including Calendar, Gemini, Gmail, Photos, Search, and YouTube. Suggestions can include places to visit, arts and crafts ideas, and upcoming local events.

Each story features an AI-generated illustration. Users can explore more details, bookmark stories, and share them. Their feedback also helps shape future collections. Google has added support for animating selected illustrations using its Veo video model.

Dreambeans requires at least one connected Google service. After setup, the app can take up to a day to generate the first collection and sends a notification when it is ready. New stories are sent daily.

Connecting Google Photos allows Dreambeans to use images of you and people in your library in its illustrations, provided face grouping is enabled. Personally, I would avoid using this feature.

Google first launched Dreambeans in the US in June 2026. It was initially limited to Google AI Ultra subscribers before expanding to eligible personal Google accounts belonging to users aged 18 and above. India is its first international market. Google says user interest and the widespread use of multiple Google services in the country influenced its decision.

The app is free on Android and iOS in India. It supports English, Hindi, Bengali, Telugu, Marathi, Tamil, Urdu, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Odia, Punjabi, Assamese, and Nepali. Users can select one language at a time, and stories currently cannot mix languages.

Google says connecting services to Dreambeans does not affect users’ Personal Intelligence settings in Gemini or AI Mode. Connected apps can be changed at any time, and users can delete their Dreambeans data from within the app.
