Oppo Reno: Everything we know so far

We have previously shared the leaked specs and other details of this Oppo sub-brand. Oppo Reno is expected to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset with a 5G modem. It could ship with 8GB of RAM and 128GB/256GB of onboard storage.

Oppo Reno is expected to pack a 4065mAh battery. The rumor mill also suggests the phone might support 20W Super VOOC charging.

Recently, two models of Reno were certified by Bluetooth SIG – CPH1919 and CPH1921. The latter of the two models will support the n78 band for 5G speeds. The phone would pack the required SD 855 chipset. Like most other flagships and even the likes of Xiaomi Pocophone F1, heat dissipation would be an important factor in these phones too. This model might use a copper tube liquid cooling.

The lite version with CPH1921 model number would be running on Snapdragon 710. This base variant would bear heat-conducting gel and graphite sheet to dissipate heat.

Finally, there could be a Lamborghini special edition also that has slightly bumped up specs like 50W Super VOOC charging and up to 12GB RAM.

Oppo Reno could sport a 6.4-inch Dynamic AMOLED display with an embedded fingerprint reader. The display could showcase a 93.1% screen to body ratio, thanks to the unique Sharkfin design.

It could be available in four colors viz. Purple, Pink, Green, and Black, evident from the renders. We could safely bet Color OS version 6 on the software front. The leaks also hint to a USB-C port alongside a 3.5mm headphone jack, both of which are always welcome.
