Oppo just launched its Reno 11 Series in January 2024. The Oppo Reno 11 Series includes two smartphones- the Oppo Reno 11 and the Oppo Reno 11 Pro 5G. The devices pack top-quality specs for a price starting at Rs. 29,999. Oppo even managed to rope in the star cast of the superhit movie Wake Up Side aka Ranbir Kapoor and Konkana Sen Sharma for the promotional campaign of the Reno 11 Series.
However, even before the waves around the Reno 11 Series haven’t died down, the details regarding the specs and global launch timeline of the Oppo Reno 12 Series have surfaced online. Oppo is in no mood to slow down as the work on the Reno 12 Series is reportedly in full force. It will include Oppo Reno 12 and Oppo Reno 12 Pro 5G.

Oppo Reno 12 Series: Key Specs
An internal document by MSPoweruser.com claims that Reno 12 will be powered by a yet-to-launch MediaTek MTK 24M chipset while Dimensity 9200 SoC will power Reno 12 Pro.
Tipster Digital Chat Station also hints at Snapdragon 8 Series SoCs for the Reno 12 Series, which indicates Oppo might be planning different chipsets for different markets.
Reports claim that the Reno 12 Pro might sport a 6.7-inch OLED panel with a refresh rate 120Hz and curved edges at the back. In terms of the camera, there might be a 50MP main sensor with OIS, 8MP ultrawide, and a 50MP telephoto lens at the back. The front might also get a 50MP selfie snapper. As for the storage, it is expected to get 12GB RAM and up to 512GB storage. Under the hood will be a 5000mAh battery with 67W wired fast charging and for protection will be the IP65 rating.
The base Oppo Reno 12 5G is said to get a 6.7-inch OLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and the same rear and back camera unit as the Pro counterpart. It might get 12GB RAM with 256GB storage and the same 5000mAh battery with 67W charging.
According to leaks, the only difference between the Reno 12 and Reno 12 Pro will be in terms of SoC. The design of the Reno 12 series might get refreshed but there is no information about it as of now.
Oppo Reno 12 Series: Launch Timeline
Sources claim that the Oppo Reno 12 Series will go official in June 2024. The Reno 12 will reportedly have a price tag of around 499 USD aka 42,000 INR (approx..) while the Reno 12 Pro will cost somewhere around 799 USD aka 66,000 INR (approx.).
