OnePlus 6 Is Now Official: Specification, Features, Price and More

After all the leaks and rumors OnePlus 6 has finally launched at Copper Box Arena in London. The much-anticipated phone claim to offer ‘the speed that you need’. In comparison with the previous generation OnePlus phones, the OnePlus 6 comes with a new all-glass design, a notch display, Snapdragon 845 processor, 8GB RAM+256GB storage variant, and more. Here’s everything you need to know about OnePlus 6:

OnePlus 6: Display and Design

  • OnePlus 6 has a 6.28-inch optic-AMOLED display with 19:9 aspect ratio. It is the tallest display OnePlus has offered till date.
  • The resolution of the screen 1,080 x 2,280 pixels and it supports both sRGB and DCI-P3 gamuts.
  • Despite offering a bigger screen, the overall size is same as the OnePlus 5T.
  • The Phone features Gorilla Glass 5 on both surfaces (front and back) of the phone.

  • It comes with 84 screen-to-body-ratio without the inclusion of notch.
  • The OnePlus 6 is basic water resistance but there is no IP certification done.
  • Yes, OnePlus continues to feature a 3.5mm audio jack in this phones.
  • In Europe, the OnePlus 6 will be available in three hues: Mirror Black, Midnight Black, and a limited edition Silk White.
  • No OnePlus signature Sandstone version this time.

OnePlus 6 Features

  • As expected, the OnePlus 6 rocks a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor offering comparatively 10 percent more performance efficiency than it’s predecessor.
  • OnePlus 6 is offered in three configurations: 6GB+64GB, 8GB+128GB and 8GB+256GB.
  • It has 2-lane UFS 2.1 storage. Like always, no microSD card slot.
  • The OnePlus 6 supports gigabit LTE as it is equipped with 4×4 MIMO antennas.
  • OnePlus continues to offer 3,300 mAh battery. The company bundles a 5V/4A dash charger inside the box.
  • No, there is no wireless charging support in spite of an all-glass back.
  • The OnePlus 6 gets a dual rear camera setup with both EIS and OIS support. The Setup includes a 16MP primary sensor along with a 20MP sensor.

  • OnePlus 6 camera also comes AI enhancements like Smart Capture which optimizes image quality automatically based on the subject. The company claims it has improved HDR algorithm as well.
  •  The front camera on the OnePlus 6 is a 16 MP sensor that also uses AI to create the Portrait mode’s bokeh.
  • The OnePlus 6 On-screen navigation gestures works similar to the OnePlus 5T.
  • OnePlus 6 face unlock feature claims to take less than 0.4 seconds to unlock the phone.
  • The dual optics at the back of OnePlus 6 can shoot slow-motion videos at 480 frames-per-second (fps) in 720p resolution for 3.75s.
  • It can also shoot 4K videos @60fps.

OnePlus 6 Price and Availability

  • The OnePlus 6 will go on sale in 22 countries including India on May 22 onwards.
  • The OnePlus 6 Silk White limited edition will become available from June 5 onwards.

OnePlus 6 Bullet Wireless Earphones

Another interesting product that the company unwrapped today is the OnePlus Bullet Wireless earphones. These new headphones have Google Assistant onboard. The headphone has magnetic tops which help to preserve the battery by turning it off automatically as soon as they are put together. As soon as one detaches them from each other, the earphones boot up.  OnePlus Bullet Wireless headphones will go on sale in Europe from June 5 and they have been priced at 69 euros. The OnePlus Bullet wireless headphones India price is yet to be confirmed.
