TL; DR
  • Tipster Debayan Roy says the OnePlus 16 India launch is almost certainly canceled.
  • The Oppo Find X10 Ultra is also reportedly skipping India alongside the OnePlus 16.
  • Oppo Find X10 Pro Max is tipped to launch in India in 2027 instead.

Just a few days ago, OnePlus confirmed it will stop launching new phones in North America and Europe, while repeatedly maintaining that India remains a priority. That context makes tipster Debayan Roy’s latest claim particularly significant.

The OnePlus 16 India launch has been “almost confirmed” to be canceled. Along with that, Oppo’s Find X10 Ultra is also expected to skip the Indian market.

What The Leaks Actually Say

Roy’s tip on X claims that instead of releasing the OnePlus 16 and Oppo Find X10 Ultra, Oppo will make the Find X10 Pro Max its flagship for Indian consumers in 2027. It’s worth paying attention to the timeline here: 2027, not 2026. Neither OnePlus nor Oppo has officially confirmed or denied this.

For context on what India might reportedly miss, the OnePlus 16 is expected to debut in China in Q4 2026 with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro chipset, a 185Hz display, a battery close to 9,000mAh, and a 200MP telephoto camera.

The Oppo Find X10 Ultra, meanwhile, is tipped to carry dual telephoto cameras including a 50MP periscope with 10x optical zoom and a 200MP telephoto with 3x optical zoom.

What Could Come To India Instead

The Oppo Find X10 Pro Max is said to feature a 2K flat LTPO OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Some leaks have also pointed toward a triple 200MP camera array, a Dimensity 9600 Pro chipset, IP69 water resistance, and a large battery.

Oppo introduced the Find X9 Pro in India without a Pro Max model, meaning the Find X10 Pro Max would effectively replace the Find X9 Pro as the top Oppo flagship available locally. From what it looks like, it could also mean that the Find X10 Pro Max could replace the OnePlus 16 in the Indian market.

Given that none of this is confirmed, I’d like you to take it with a pinch of salt.
