HMD Global freshly announced the new Nokia X5 in China, the firm’s latest mobile in the ‘X series’ after the Nokia 6 that was launched early, this year. The new X-series phone has a 19:9 screen, dual SIM dual VoLTE support, and is powered by MediaTek Helio P60 chipset.

Nokia X5 Price and Availability

Nokia X5 will be available in Black, White and Blue color options. The phone will be available for purchase in China starting from July 19 onwards via Nokia’s official website, Suning.com, JD.com, and Lynx.com. There is no word on the global availability yet.

The phone has been opened to Chinese markets at a launch price of 999 Yuan (Rs. 10,200) for the 3GB RAM + 32GB storage option and 1399 Yuan (Rs. 14,300 approx) for the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant.

HMD Global has listed several highlights for Nokia X5, some of which are a 5.86-inch HD+ display with 19:9 aspect ratio, 2.5D curved glass front, sporting a magnificent 84% screen-to-body ratio.

The phone runs on the powerful MediaTek Helio P60 12nm processor, clocked at 2.0 GHz, which is supported by up to 6GB RAM and is fueled by a 3000mAh battery. The Nokia X5 will run Android 8.1 (Oreo) OS out of the box.

On the optical front, the Nokia X5 will carry a 13+5 megapixel vertically aligned rear camera combination. There is also an 8-megapixel front-facing camera for AI-powered selfie portraits and beauty mode shots. The phone will come in options of 3GB RAM + 32GB storage and 4GB RAM + 64GB storage. The Nokia X5 has a glass back with the fingerprint sensor placed right below the camera.
