HMD Global has announced a new variant of its affordable mid-range phone, Nokia 6 (2018) aka Nokia 6.1 in India. From May 13 onwards, you will be able to choose between the 4GB RAM/ 64GB storage and 3GB RAM/ 32GB storage options. And yes, it does feel a tad overpriced.

The Nokia 6 (2018) debut in the Indian market last month along with Nokia 7 Plus and Nokia 8 Sirocco. At the time of launch, it was only made available in 3GB RAM option.

Nokia 6.1 4GB RAM Variant Price, Availability, Offers

For the Nokia 6 (2018) 4GB RAM variant you have to spend a little more than its base model. It will retail at a price tag of Rs. 18,999 only on Amazon.in from May 13 onwards. Potential buyers can register themselves on the e-commerce website.

Nokia 6.1 Features

The Nokia 6 (2018) is basically an incremental upgrade to Nokia 6 (2017). It doesn’t have any of the contemporary smartphone trends such as dual-rear camera setup, 18:9 full vision display or a notch on top. Something you will find its rivals – Redmi Note 5 Pro and Vivo V9 Youth, offering in the same price budget.

In fact, what HMD Global is offering on Nokia 6 (2018) is a well-built device with elegant looks and an upgraded chipset from its predecessor. The phone features a 5.5-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080) panel, accompanied by broad bezels and is powered by Snapdragon 630 processor, under the hood.

For photography, the Nokia 6 (2018) sports a 16MP ZEISS optics rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, PDAF, and f/2.0 aperture. Up front, it packs an 8MP selfie shooter with f/2.0 aperture. Nokia is also offering its ‘Bothie’ feature in this budget device.

The phone runs on stock-Android Oreo out of the box and houses a 3000mAh battery. In terms of connectivity, it includes 4G VoLTE, WiFi, Hybrid SIM Slot, Bluetooth, USB Type-C, 3.5mm audio jack, GPS, NFC.
