Moto Z2 Play with Snapdragon 626 and Moto Mods launched in India at Rs 27,999

Within days of international launch, Lenovo has launched its Modular Moto Z2 Play with four new Moto Mods in India. The new modular back phone is priced at Rs. 27,999 and will retail exclusively on Flipkart. The four Moto Mods that were launched today is JBL SoundBoost 2, Moto TurboPower pack, Moto Gamepad, and Moto Style Shell with wireless charging. Sadly, the new Mods won’t be available in India before the end of the year.

Moto Z2 Play Launch Pre-Sale Offers

To tempt the prospective buyers, Lenovo has added some exciting Motorola Moto Z2 Play pre-booking offers. It is offering 50 percent off on select mods, free armors pack and 100GB additional data on Reliance Jio users. Under the ‘hello finance’ initiative, Motorola Z2 Play can be pre-booked by paying Rs 2,000 and the remaining balance can be paid at 0% interest in 10 months.

Moto Z2 Play features and details

The successor of last year’s Moto Z Play has certainly seen some changes in terms of looks and specification. The Z2 Play has a metal body with a slim 5.9 mm waistline, and it comes in Lunar Gray and Fine Gold shades. It weighs just 145 grams. That slim figure, however, comes at a price. The new Z2 Play packs a smaller battery as compared to its predecessor.

Specs-wise, the Moto Z2 Play boasts of Qualcomm’s latest budget chipset, the Snapdragon 626 octa-core SoC, with the maximum clock frequency of 2.2GHz. Lenovo is offering with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage option.

The Moto Z2 Play sports a 5.5 Full HD Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. On optics front, it features a 12MP rear camera with 1.4um dual autofocus pixel, ƒ/1.7 aperture, laser auto-focus, and phase detection auto-focus. On the front, there’s a 5MP front camera with 1.4um and ƒ/2.2 aperture.

It runs Android 7.1.1 Nougat and is aided by a 3,000mAh battery. According to Motorola, it can last for up to 30 hours and thanks to its TurboPower charging technology, it can be charged to 50 percent in 30 minutes. The smartphone can resist splashes, thanks to its nano water repellent coating. The modular accessories will cling to the Z2 Play using the 16 magnetic pogo pins at the rear.
